Hello I would like to get a pet therapy certificate to go to nursing homes etc for a dog that I am thinking of adopting. Do you offer these classes?

Yes we do! We recommend taking our obedience courses (starting with Beginner thru Advanced). A couple months prior to the evaluation we offer a 4 week Therapy Dog Prep class. The evaluation is held once a year in either late May or early June.

How old does your puppy need to be to start training and do they need all shots first?
The puppy class says you can start as early as 8 weeks- 6months that's for the puppy class and then the beginner obedience they have to be 6 months or older and yes you need proof they are up to date on vaccines

I've taken the time to check out a few different facilities and Patience Dog Training is the most professional in my opinion. I've owned many dogs including Shiloh Shepherds and my current long haired German and they really take the time to explain everything to you and train the dog. The location is simply the best for training. Both indoor and outdoor training including aguility. One of many different types of training for your dog. My guy had a slight problem on the leash and with other dogs. He is really being turned around and overcoming his issues and teaching me what I've been doing wrong with him. I love going there and it's a beautiful location just off the Coventry Bike path. All who love their dogs should give them this experience.

The teacher was very knowledgeable and explained thoroughly. Binders with paper handouts were given, so we would have written instructions to help our practices each week. I intend to go back for more when the weather gets nicer.

Great school for my dog. Shevi (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable, patient. Her passion for what she does certainly is what makes this a great dog training school. I could not recommend this school more to any dog owner.

Our instructor was fabulous I have a 5 month old Lab who has given me a run for my money. She was so patient with me and My Gracie Mae. We will defiantly be going back for the next session.

Shevy is an amazing trainer for the pups and their owners. She has a wonderful sense of humor that helps to offset the frustrating puppy behaviors in class. I highly recommend Patience Inspired Dog Training.
