FirstBarkPat is the best! My dog used to be a menace but Pat took care of it quickly. He preaches training the people and not the dogs, which I was skeptical of at first. But it works like a charm. The only thing I wish I did was call Pat sooner. Highly recommended!

Pat’s approach to dog rehabilitation focuses primarily on the dog owners. Why? Dogs feed off of the owners energy (emotional state) as their primary method of understanding, respecting and trusting humans. If a dog senses any kind of emotional instability (such as nervousness, anxiety, frustration, anger, etc.), they will assume that you are weak and not in control of the situation. Therefore, the dog will not trust or follow you and will assert itself to become the pack leader. Pat can recognize a person’s energy and body language and therefore he provides guidance on how to adjust thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to become an effective leader. Our girl responded to his techniques RIGHT away. Then, it was all about us learning how to do them properly. Pat is very nice, funny, and he will tell it to you straight. He helped us out so much and I would recommend him to any other dog owner!
Pat is the real deal when it comes to understanding dogs. It was amazingly life changing to watch him instantly transform my dog Ellie's fear of people. He trains you, not your dog. He will give you the knowledge and tools needed to have a perfect relationship with your dog and to have a dog that is happy and well behaved.
Pat was very helpful in teaching me how to walk with my dog, Josie. He explained everything to me step by step. He encouraged me to take control of Josie.
Pat is very knowledgeable and professional. He has helped us show our nervous and reactive pup that we’re in charge in order to creat more calm in everyone’s life. Our pup is gaining more confidence every day and so are we!
