Susan is a talented trainer who has worked with our dog Bandit for over a year. He was an anxious dog who was not socialized well as a puppy. At almost two years old, he had significant issues with other people and dogs. Often he would bark continuously whenever he felt frightened. Susan has helped him gain confidence through training. He is now able to be around other dogs and people. It has been a wonderful transformation.

Before we had our dog Addis trained by Susan, he was very reactive to anything that moved & to the point which he pulled my wife off her feet & caused her to fracture her fingers. Now, Addis is much more confident & non-reactive to the point that we trust him in our yard leash dragging or no leash at all. We can also talk to neighbors without him reacting and even had him on a leash just existing at a party at our house outside this weekend. My mother-in-law was even able to pet him for the first time this weekend. We are so grateful for finding Susan & having her train our Belgian Malinois to this day.

Pack Leader Dog Training deserves all of the stars. The saying “can’t teach a dog new tricks” is absurd and Pack Leader Dog Training proves it every day with our poster child, Canelo. He was a ball of anxiety who couldn’t handle the leash, being alone, men... We now have a dog whose confidence, independence, and trust is growing every day. The training is methodical, it is work, it is an ongoing processes (as a first time dog owner I had NO idea what dog training entailed, lol). But the structure, the communication and the resources make it seem like magic. We are so lucky to have found PLDT. We reached out to Pack Leader Dog Training after adopting a Great Dane mix that had zero training. She was a sweetheart at her core, BUT jumped, pulled, wanted to chase the kids, but most concerning, struggled with fear-based behavior that would quickly escalate around strangers. We were experienced dog owners and longtime adopters, but this was the first time encountering this and with kids in the mix, we knew we needed help QUICK. Due to her size (130lb+), training was critical so she could happily became part of our pack. From the start, Susan was extremely responsive and supportive. We did a series of individual one-on-one sessions where she taught us the tools and methods to effectively communicate with our dog and teach desired behaviors, while also teaching us as her handlers. We saw instant results after just one session!!! I learned so much after spending time with Susan. She has a true passion and desire to help others 💛 Watching my dog transform and become more confident and consistent has been such a rewarding experience and SO worth it. If you've been thinking about training, look no further. The best thing you can do for your pup is to invest in them - set them up for success. Highly reccommend!
