Steve’s training of my young pup (4 months) was incredible. She’s going to be a large dog and I knew I needed to get both of us trained to be able to enjoy a long life together. Understandably, puppy training is different from a more mature dog. Steve worked wonders with her and in such a short time she walked so calmly on her leash; off leash and running in my yard she responds to me and gets my authority. She waits for me to set down her food bowl and until I say eat. It used to be a gobble fest with her bowl and food going everywhere. She laid down mere inches from my shoes and sniffed but didn’t grab and run. She did jump on the couch and gave me a look to see what I was going to do about it. I told her off and my tone showed her I meant it, without being mean but with authority. Two neighbors remarked when they saw us walking “she is walking with you, not yanking your arm… and “she’s adorable and walking like an adult show dog…” I know that I need to stay on top of all we learned. Right now, as I write this review we are practicing “stay” and it’s amazing how much better we communicate and she’s not whining or knocking the phone out of my hand. I think she deserves a nice walk…which we both now love. Thank you Steve!

We highly recommend Steve and his son at Pack Leader! We took our 5 year old german shepherd, Molly, to the 5 Day Board and Train program. Molly had a traumatic incident with some dogs when she was a puppy so she was there for aggression toward other dogs and also to stop pulling on the leash. The day we picked her up Steve asked if we wanted to go to the pet store and Home Depot with Molly (I thought “no way in heck do I want to do that” haha). She walked past multiple dogs, stayed in place, and was calm throughout the whole outing. I never would have imagined we could do that. As with anything, the success of the training will end up falling on us as dog owners and following the instructions and information that Steve provided us with. But Steve helped set a wonderful foundation for us to help Molly life her best dog life (and for us to not be stressed as dog owners). He provided the collars, a pet mat, a website, videos of training, paperwork, and support through the whole process. We’re so thankful for the work that Steve and his son did with Molly and with us!

highly recommend Steve and his training services. I brought in my two-year-old German Shepherd who was beginning to show early signs of aggression toward both people and other animals. He lacked clear boundaries and overall seemed very difficult to manage. Within just five days, the transformation was remarkable. Steve delivered exactly what he promised and more. He is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and truly dedicated to his work. The progress my dog has made in such a short time speaks volumes about his skill and commitment. I cannot recommend Steve highly enough and am incredibly grateful for the positive impact he has had on our dog and our family.

This is Maple. She came from a homeless camp & had a rough start in life & a lot of behavioral problems (particularly dog aggression). She was fixated on our neighbors dogs & barked constantly at them. Our neighbors were terrified of her & when she got into a fight with their dog they insisted that we put Maple to sleep. We had tried everything we could thinks of to solve the problem, but nothing worked, so we reluctantly agreed… But then I found Steve! He was able to not only break Maple of all of her disobedience & bad habits, but also get to the bottom of the psychological issues that caused the behavior in the first place. I learned so much about my dog & see her in such a new light now. Thank you Steve! She spent a week with Steve & came home a completely new dog! But most importantly Steve gave me so much wisdom & so many tools. He is a wonderful teacher & I really enjoyed learning from him. His program is set up very professionally & clear, it’s been a dream to work with him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving Maple a new chance at life! Steve literally saved Maple’s life! She is now the best behaved dogs we have ever had!
