Ozark Canine Academy

We got our 2 year old Aussie back last week and I can't say enough good thinks about Mike and Ozark Canine Academy. After researching all the boarding and training programs I could find in our region, we drove from out of state (Missouri) to drop our dog off with Mike. His knowledge, skill, love of dogs, and approach to the world made the experience great not just for our pup, but for us as well. We have three Aussies, but our youngest was just beyond our training skills. He knew all kinds of tricks, how to walk on a leash, etc., but when we took him out on leash, everything was just too much and all manners went out the window. Oh what a difference a few weeks and a new set of methods and communication makes. After a month for our pup and a few hours for us, our pup has been going with us everywhere -- not only on the street, but into stores and crowded areas. He no longer barks at every last thing walking down the street in front of our house and he's still the happy silly pupper we've always known. We are so grateful.

Even though I live more than 3 hours away and have a few dog trainers in my area, my wife and I chose Mike and OCA. I'm glad we did. Mike took the time to make sure I understood his training methods and the reasons behind them. He broke everything down so I could understand the what, why, and how. After 28 days at OCA my dog was well behaved and obedient, but still the same little weirdo I dropped off. Before I took my dog home, Mike took a significant amount of time (hours!) to make sure I had the tools and know-how to keep the progress going. I can't say enough good things about Mike and OCA.
