Ozark Canine Academy

We sent our 6 month old Golden Retriever, Benson, to Ozark Canine Academy after a word of mouth referral. This was an excellent decision! Mike's knowledge and experience with training dogs is impressive and it works. The time he spent at pick up going over actions and techniques about what to do once Benson was back in his normal environment was so very appreciated. We've been able to implement these things and our house is less chaotic and we have a dog who can listen and take commands now. The initial groundwork that was laid was not something we ever could have achieved on our own. Thank you Ozark Canine Academy!!!

My little shelter Pittie is the most people loving, excitable, fun girl! She is awesome to go on adventures with. However, she would get too excitable- jumping on everyone to say hello, aggression towards other dogs, chewing up everything. I tried my sort of training, for eeehemmm.... six months... Finally, I realized that I needed help. It was a big deal for me to leave my dog for almost a month, but I am so glad I did. She listens!! She doesn't jump on anyone. She ignores, or wags her tail at other dogs.. I feel confident bringing her almost anywhere. There is just such an immense difference, and our whole family is happier for it. I'm so glad I brought my Pittie here. She is now the well trained dog that I always wanted! Thank you Mike and Family, and Jessica!

We brought our Malinois X's to Mike for training. We chose him because he was honest and up front about his services and about everyone's expectations. Mike took so much time out of his days to explain things and help us learn what may or may not work with our dogs. After being there with him for a week, he called and explained that he didn't think it was going to work out and he ended up not cashing our check for training them. He didn't take any money for his time and effort and honestly explained what the issues were with them. I'm sad it didn't work out, but grateful that Mike is the real deal and will tell his customers the truth, without robbing them. Thanks, Mike for your honesty. This comment is long overdue and I just want to apologize for not posting this sooner. If you are looking for a trainer that knows his stuff and will tell you the truth, Mike is your guy!
