Ben is the best investment we’ve ever made in a dog trainer. Our younger dog has had issues with anxiety and aggressive barking towards people who come into our home since he was a puppy, and I cannot stress enough how impossible it felt to train him out of it (he’s 2 now). Definitely a huge source of stress for our household. We had not been able to get him to improve his behavior (even with other trainers and tons of consistent ‘positive’ training) until we hired Ben. He quickly understood what was/wasn’t working for our dog and gave us practical tools and strategies that have helped improve his behavior overall, as well as gave us a better understanding of why our dog acts the way he does. It has only been about two months since our first session and we could not be happier with how he’s doing! He is a much more calm dog all around. We are excited to continue to work with Outrider Dogs to get him to an even better place. We are so incredibly relieved that we’re actually seeing progress. Could not recommend these people more, especially if you have a dog that feels impossible to train and you are looking for a trainer you can trust.
A wonderful resource for dog training. Years back I had a rescue dog who was dog aggressive and Ben helped me navigate keeping other dogs safe while keeping my best friend happy and healthy.
Amazing people who really know their stuff. Ben has tremendously helped me become a better dog owner, both through the one-on-one training at my house and during the Leash Reactivity classes. I cannot recommend him enough. He is a wonderful member of the community and truly cares about every dog he encounters.
If you're looking for someone who understands your dog, Ben is your guy. He has been extremely helpful in taming my difficult sheepadoodle. His method is practical, he breaks it down so you understand exactly what you need to do.
