Out of the Bark - Dog & Puppy Training

We absolutely loved working with our trainer, Megha, at Out of the Bark! She uses positive-reinforcement methods that made training fun, encouraging, and super effective for our puppy, Ollie. Her patience, clear communication, and genuine love for dogs really shine through in every session. We saw such a positive difference in our puppy’s confidence and behavior, and we always felt supported and empowered as owners. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, knowledgeable, and truly wonderful trainer!

We started working with Megha and Dan when Scout was just under 6 months old and we've been with them now for nearly a year. From the beginning, they've been incredible. We were overwhelmed by Scout's energy, reactivity, and inability to be around our cat, Benji. Megha and Dan not only gave us practical tools to manage her calmness and reactivity, but also taught us how to communicate with her through body language, boundaries, and consistency. We love their focus on force- and fear-free, positive reinforcement training, and the empathy and love they bring to every interaction. Scout adores them (Megha is her favorite person on the planet!) and they've treated her with the same care and patience they've shown us. They've worked with us in our home, at their facility, and on pack walks. They've guided us through her health challenges, celebrated our wins, and been incredibly responsive whenever we've needed support. Thanks to them, Scout has gone from a reactive, unsettled puppy to a dog who--while still a work in progress--is truly our little friend now. We are endlessly grateful for their support and can't recommend Out of the Bark highly enough.

Working with Dan at Out of the Bark has been an absolute pleasure for us and our dog. From the very first session, it was clear how much patience, skill, and genuine care Dan brings to his work. He has an incredible understanding of dog behavior and was able to quickly identify the root of our dog’s reactivity on walks. Instead of just giving us a quick fix, Dan took the time to teach us how to read our dog’s signals, respond calmly, and build trust through consistent training. Before, walks felt stressful and unpredictable now they’re much more enjoyable and something we look forward to every day. Our dog is more relaxed, attentive, and confident on the leash, and we feel so much more empowered as owners thanks to Dan’s guidance. We couldn’t recommend Dan highly enough!
