Out of the Bark - Dog & Puppy Training

Megha Patel and Out of the Bark have been a wonderful learning experience for us and Ash Dog (AKA Ash Gordon!). While he's still strong in the way of the puppy, Ash has matured in his manners and social skills. Megha's patient approach and reinforcing methodology (building blocks strategically built on simpler concepts) have enabled Ash to be the best dog he can be. On a personal side, Megha adores and appreciates student dogs just like her own and gives Ash and Roxie (older dog not in training) so so so much love and affection. Megha goes out of her way to include things like the best, healthiest treats, training aids, and even better...she is soooooo patient with us as we also receive training on how to listen to our dog's needs, and be better dog parents. We highly recommend Megha and OotB for anyone who wants a dog trainer who does so much more than just teach your dog to sit and stay.

I tried a class in Pleasanton when my dog was a puppy, and left the first night extremely disappointed. I was told my dog was barking because she was anxious - I had no idea what that meant! I completed the class, but decided I wanted to try private training to help address some of my pup’s behaviors while she was still young. I wish I’d found Out of the Bark first! Megha is so knowledgeable, and patient - she has taught me so much about my dog’s personality, how to make her more confident, and how to make me a better dog parent.

My parents got this wild crazy high energy loveavle hilarious puppy at 12weeks old. She is one now and we were at a lost on how to train this wild girl. Went through two different trainers that just didn’t work. When I got a list from Lainey’s vet. I came across Out of Bark and read through the profiles of Dan and Megha. I knew they were the right fit. All Postive reinforcement. We have had only 4 sessions with Megha and we have seen a significant difference in Laineys behavior. She is lessoning better to our commands and behaving so much better. If you ask my mom, she didn’t think it was possible but calls Megha a life savor. Megha is so kind and gentle with Lainey. It’s like Santa Claus is coming for Lainey when Megha comes. I highly recommend Out of the Bark. I really wish I knew about them with my past two dogs!!
