I had the pleasure of meeting Dan Clark at a recent dog training workshop—and let me say, in an industry that’s largely unregulated and overflowing with quick-fix advice, it takes a lot for another trainer to truly impress me. Dan did. His background is rooted in science-based methods, and his certifications reflect a deep commitment to continuing education and evidence-driven practice. He doesn’t just understand dog behavior—he understands how to change it ethically, effectively, and compassionately. What stood out most to me was that Dan doesn’t rely on tools or tactics that suppress behavior. He helps dogs learn new, more appropriate responses—and just as importantly, he helps humans understand the “why” behind their dog’s actions. His work is about building trust, not fear.
