Out of the Bark

We had a great experience with the Dog 1 class at Out of the Bark. The instructor did a really nice job meeting each dog where they were starting and adjusting the training accordingly. I especially appreciated that the class setting—with other dogs around—was used as a practical training opportunity rather than something to avoid. The pace was well balanced and kept everyone engaged. We learned a lot and will definitely be back for Dog 2!

Our 2 1/2 year old rescue dog is responding so well to Dan and Megha's specialized training techniques. We have been working in all different settings which is already making such a huge difference in his reactive behaviors. Dan has so many helpful tools in his toolbox (literally and figuratively) that it makes our sessions both fun and educational! We are truly grateful for all the help we have received and can't wait to continue on this journey with such savvy trainers who truly understand the human-animal connection.

We worked with Megha in private classes and group classes and saw amazing progress with our dog's overall confidence and behavior. It's clear Megha is passionate and knowledgeable in her field. We started out with private classes at a loss with what to do with our reactive and skittish dog, and she helped meet us where we were at as dog owners and explained clearly how we could be better pup parents and reach our goals with our worries about our dog adapting to our home and our lifestyle. She made everything clear and made herself available to us whenever we had questions, no matter how small, and went above and beyond with helping us out when we were stressed and anxious about our pup's behaviors. We eventually also signed up for her group classes and had a great experience there as well-- not only with overall teaching our dog basic obedience but also boosting his confidence and understanding how we should manage his behavior around other dogs. She makes sure to be attentive to each dog parent during group classes as well to ensure that progress is being made. We've overall had a great experience with Megha over these past few months and look forward to continue working with her and Out of the Bark as we work to make sure that we can make our lives and our dog's life easier, more manageable, and continue to build our dog's skills with each progressive session. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough positive things about Out of the Bark! Megha is an incredible trainer. You can tell she truly cares about advocating for your pup; she's not just going through the motions. Megha makes sure you truly understand instructions so that you and your pup are set up for success. Anytime Megha corrected us, you could see IMMEDIATE progress in Kai because we were finally communicating the way Kai needed us to. We left every class feeling more confident on how to properly communicate with our pup to continue practicing outside of class. We're so proud of the progress Kai made during her time in Pup 2 and can't wait to see how she continues to grow throughout future classes!
