Opportunity Barks Behavior & Training

We initially started with Opportunity Barks for their training assistance with our very young and rambunctious Cocker Spaniel at both their East Falls location and farm. Within very little time our puppy made strides in both social behavior and paying attention to us while out and about. We are extremely happy to continue using their farm camp program frequently as an outlet for our dog to have play days. Reuben is always thrilled to see Laura at the morning pick ups in East Falls which is very convenient for our work schedule.Rachel is always easy to reach for scheduling and any other questions.

We recently completed the Puppy Foundations course with Janet and John and it was a great experience for our pup as well as for my wife and me. We first met Janet and John through attending the puppy socials and we were struck by how well they managed the group of chaotic little puppies to create a positive play experience - both Janet and John made sure each dog was feeling safe, secure and having a blast by being very attentive and always created space or added activities depending on the needs of the group. In addition to being a great time for all of the pups, during these socials Janet and John made themselves resources to the group by checking in on our training progress and talking through concerns and questions that we were facing. Having such a positive experience in the socials made it an easy decision to pursue the Puppy Foundations course with our little buddy. The training space is large and always very clean and orderly, with a bed, toys and separate space for each pup and their parents. The training curriculum feels very intentional and is structured to build on itself week-to-week, going from name recognition to practicing leash walking over the course of 4 weeks. During classes Janet and John were engaged with each family to identify individual needs, habits and discuss to any concerns. I never left class feeling like we failed and each week we learned learned a little more than the last. Overall our experience with Opportunity Barks for puppy socials and the Puppy Foundations course was extremely positive. Janet and John are both excellent trainers and I would recommend them and Opportunity Barks to anyone with a new pup and/or seeking training.

My dog, Shiro, and I are a couple of OpBarks stans! I first brought Shiro for training when he was 8 mos old, and our love affair with this team is still going strong 9 years later. Farm Dog day is Shiro's favorite day of the week...He gets so excited when we pull up to the van and see Laura, hopping right in! I love the staff-to-dog ratio and that Farm Dog combines training with fun - running the trails, splashing in the creek, chasing the ATV - and socialization. Shiro underwent emergency IVDD surgery Nov 2024, and Rachel amazingly checked in at regular intervals to see how he was healing. OpBarks is truly invested in the wellbeing of your pup and treats you like family! Thankfully, Shiro made a full recovery, and returning to Farm Dog has really helped strengthen his hind legs. We are lifelong devotees! Plus, they take the BEST pictures of my handsome guy. 🥰

Archie has been attending Opbarks for nearly three years, and I truly cannot imagine our week without it. That one day of running, splashing in the creek, and just being a dog has made such a visible difference. He has grown so much in his comfort with other dogs, his listening, and his ability to thrive in high-stimulation environments. As the owner of a pretty anxious pup, the thing that matters most to me is trust, and the team has earned it completely. They are always communicative, accommodating, and no matter what, Archie is happy to get on that bus every single time. He also gets his nails trimmed weekly during his farm camp session, which doubles as handling training, a huge bonus. He comes home exhausted and happy, and we could not ask for more. Archie and I are lifers.
