Grant and Alex Huff have a combined 35 years experience training dogs to an advanced level for AKC hunt tests, duck hunting, and obedience. They both grew up in East Texas with a love for duck hunting and dogs, which eventually led them to a career working with dogs of all breeds. They love seeing dogs reach their full potential and bridging the knowledge gap between clients and their pets. Unlike many trainers, Grant and Alex do all of the training themselves, from start to finish. This ensures each dog is getting the most out of their time at One Shot Retrievers. Sent both of our labs, Millie and Dex, through the 6 week program. Millie was only 6 months old and Dex was 4 years old, they both came out with the same skills.. We were struggling with labs that were stealing food and running off and we just didn’t have the time or skills ourselves to get them where they needed to be. This has made a huge difference in our household. They are still our sweet loving labs but now they listen. Highly recommender!!

Mr. Mark is wonderful. What he has done with my seven month. Old pump has been amazing. When I gave him. Luna. Luna was a scared little puppy that came from a kennel and didn’t really know much other than following her pack. She has now blossom and bloomed, and such a short time. She understands what it is to go potty to have manners, and to have a set scheduled eating time. He has patience, which is the most important thing you can have. When you’re working with dogs. He really is the dog whisper. I cannot say enough great things about this man and his talent. I am so blessed to have found him. Thank you so much Mr. Mark.

We took our 6 month old Golden Retriever to One Shot for Basic Training and we are amazed at what Alex was able to do with our girl in just 3 weeks!! The commands and structure that Alex taught our dog have completely transformed her to a sweet, enjoyable, and obedient pup. Highly recommend!!

Alex and Grant were both great, and I could not recommend OSR enough. Goose went to the 6 week Advanced Obedience training, and came back a much better dog. Not only that, but they also spent another hour with me walking through the training he received, and how I should apply it back home. Very professional and you can tell they love what they do

We took our 5 month old Black Lab to Grant several month's ago for puppy obedience training in a six week session. Grant trained on a e-collar to respond to the basic commands using cue words. our overall experience was very positive and Grant helped us to better understand the e-collar operation. We would recommend his service.
