Om Obedience, Professional Dog Training

Michaela is truly and utterly amazing. To give you some background, I was having construction at my house when one of the contractors decided to play with my dog with a laser light. I have a Cavelier King Charles, and they have a prey drive. This action sparked my dog to start shadow chasing. Without correction, this could lead to OCD and, in some cases, require medication. It was not only stressful, but I was heartbroken that my dog couldn't enjoy herself. She was constantly looking for shadows on the walls, cabinets, everywhere. I called other trainers and asked them if they've ever worked dogs that had shadow chasing behavior. They all said they could help, but when I kept pressing if they worked with this type of behavior before, not one said they did. When I contacted Michaela, she was immediately confident she could help, and she did. During our training sessions, she watched and studied my dog and her actions. She then came up with ways of getting her out of that zone. I was shocked at how good she was! After weeks (we got lots of homework), my dog is finally enjoying her life again to the fullest. Michaela's knowledge of Cavelier King Charles and their actions is exceptional! She's like a Cavi psychiatrist.

I have worked with Michaela for years, and she is the only trainer I trust. She has done work with one of my rescue dogs, and helping break his fears due to trauma. I'm currently working with Michaela on training my goldendoodle to do service work around the house for me, as I am disabled and a full time wheelchair user. Michaela specializes in service dogs, and it's exciting to see the progress my dog is making. She is truly a natural, and it's a pleasure to work with her. I highly recommend her!

Michaela and her staff are so wonderful and I highly recommend her classes. Our Border Collie puppy was TERRIFIED of other dogs even at 10 weeks…he would run behind me and hide when puppies tried to play, show his teeth, etc. He would even try to run back to the house or car if he heard another dog barking from inside a house! I feel that he would have turned into a reactive dog if these fears weren’t neutralized by the help of Michaela…she is so calm and reassuring and her help was integral in shifting these patterns. We are have been through all of the classes since Puppy Preschool and will continue forever! He loved her agility classes as well and we are also conquering some vet nerves with her “Vet Readiness” class. She got the best picture of him lying so close to other dogs in his class and it was incredible!! So glad that we are close to Om Obedience.
