Ohana K9 Academy - Dog Training, Boarding & Dog Daycare

Ohana Review Ohana K9 training facility is hands down the best in the Central Valley. I cannot overstate the integrity of this dog training company. We rescued an 18 month old medium sized mixed breed from the Humane Society who had evidence of severe trauma. We fell in love with her before we knew just how bad the effects of her trauma were and we knew we needed professional help in order to improve her quality of life and also to become a member of our family. Ohana was recommended to us by our vet and we took a chance. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made as a family. Though it required patience on our part and a substantial financial commitment because of the amount of time it would take for Izzie to learn to trust those around her, we knew from the first conversation with Ohana, this was the right decision. Louie was her primary trainer and pulled out every last intervention he could think of in order to gain trust with Izzie and then to train her. She is now a happier, calmer, friendlier dog and she will have a better life because of him. Izzie was one of the most severe cases of trauma he has seen in his career and we’ll never know exactly what happened to her. What we do know is that we have a sweet, loving dog who loves her family AND her Ohana people, her extended family. I stand by recommending Ohana 1000%. Every dollar, every day that was spent at Ohana, Izzie has a better life because of them.

My wife and I decided to take our 1 year old German Sheppard to Ohana K9 Academy for training. Ohana Staff are truly great at what they do, they love animals and they understand each breeds needs ands ticks. They did a wonderful job with our boy Ares and I highly recommend them if you need dog training. Not only they train to your needs but they will give training sessions as well to practice at home.

The Ohana K9 Academy has been a godsend to us. We are now a one dog family after losing our male Rottie. We were looking for a "home away from home" for our newest Rottie where she can socialize with other dogs and be safe when we board her. We also needed refreshers and assistance with a training program to help us when we walk her around the neighborhood. Our trainer, Tobin, was great. He listened to our concerns, was very patient, and explained why we were doing what he asked us to do. Tobin and the other staff at Ohana make an exceptional team.

I cannot recommend Ohana enough. From the moment I dropped off my dog, I felt completely confident they were in caring, knowledgeable hands. The staff is professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Communication was excellent throughout the stay, and I loved receiving updates that showed how well my dog was doing. I loved how they gave me a tour of the facility ,introduced me to all the staff and sanitize the facility daily. When I picked my dog up, I could immediately see the difference not only was my dog happy and well cared for, but the training progress was noticeable and impressive. If you’re looking for a place that truly treats your dog like family while delivering real results, this is it. I will absolutely be using their services again and recommending them to everyone I know.

Highly recommend Ohana k9 to everyone! When my husband decided to add a new pup to our home, I told him on the condition that we did training and it had to be with Ohana k9. Our corgi Ginger recently completed the board and train puppy program and I don’t even want to think about where we’d be without Ohana k9! Trainer Alex was awesome, she made herself available for any and all questions. Ginger grew so much at the facility, everyone there was so kind and truly treated us like family. When we needed extra support, the lead trainer tagged along and took the time to get to know us and Gingers needs. By the end of her program Ginger was so excited to pull up to the facility and could hardly wait to go see her friends! If you’re adding a dog to your family or have a dog that you’re thinking about training, Ohana k9 is hands down the only option for you!
