Off Leash K9 Training, Northern Utah

We are so thankful for the work Karysn Garrett did with our dog, Doc Holiday! Before training, Doc was a very energetic puppy who just wanted to play and had a hard time listening. He struggled with basic commands like sitting, coming when called, and staying in one place. Karysn was incredible at providing Doc with the structure and rules he needed while keeping his fun, friendly personality intact. After his training, Doc has become a much more well-mannered dog that we can take anywhere.

Levi was incredible! We just got our 9 month old puppy back from a board and train and he is a completely different dog in all the best ways. We have little kids and he would always steal their food off the counter, his first day home we ate dinner and we used the place command to put him on his raised bed and he didn't move the entire time. Since then there has been food on the counter and he hasn't even tried to get it. 2 weeks ago I would have said it was impossible, we are still in shock about how quickly he learned and how awesome Levi was in training him. We honestly couldn't be happier!

Karsyn was by far the best dog trainer we've worked with yet, and we've definitely seen a few. She had an intuitive connection with my pup Opal and the progress we made in four sessions was truly impressive. We used the four- session "basics" package to introduce Opal to her new e-collar, which was included in the package. The collar is high quality and Opal is totally "getting" it after just a few sessions. Couldn't recommend them more!

Abusive unethical treatment of my dog during board and train. I contracted for a two week board and train to help me get a head start on working with a bouncy new dog we had rescued. I was told the training was all play and relationship based. I was concerned when I picked my dog up from the two week board and train because he kept trying to run away from the training room and hide behind my legs during turnover. Levi shocked him at such a high level that he cried multiple times when demonstrating commands (he told me that he was at a level 9 on a higher voltage collar than he originally started with because the dog is "stubborn" and "lazy."). I think dogs should always love training or something is being done wrong. Although I am not opposed to e collars in principle, I believe it was overused due to a lack of skill in really understanding this dog. When my dog came home I switched entirely to positive reinforcement because of what I had seen. At first my dog flinched when I gave him commands. He winced and turned on his side. He seemed afraid but like he did not know what to do to avoid punishment. I found an injury on his neck in the area the e-collar had been used. He is now working willingly and happily for me. There is never any "stubbornness" or "laziness." He loves training time. The program I purchased came with lifetime support if I returned for a follow up appointment, which of course I didn't do, because I could not fathom making my dog go back to the place of his mistreatment, and why would I want any more "advice" from abusive psuedo-trainers anyway? I did contact Levi about these concerns and he took zero accountability--which means he will do the same thing to more dogs.
