We highly recommend Sarah at Off Leash K9 Training! We rescued a one-year-old Border Collie mix named Huck L. Berry (also lovingly known as Huckleberry Finn). With no prior history, we weren’t sure where to begin with his training. Huck completed a two-week board-and-train program with Sarah, and we are thrilled with both the tools we gained and the excellent care Huck received. From our very first interaction, it was clear that Sarah is deeply passionate about training dogs and equally dedicated to helping owners become confident and effective handlers. She used relatable, real-life analogies to help us better understand how Huck interprets our communication—and how we can communicate with him in ways he clearly understands. Given that Huck is a Border Collie mix and we live in a remote area of Montana without a fenced yard, it was especially important for us to learn how to communicate with him effectively for his safety. Sarah gave us the confidence and skills to do exactly that. Throughout the program, Sarah provided nightly updates on Huck’s progress. Her emails included detailed explanations of what he was working on, along with both his successes and challenges. We found this especially valuable, as it gave us deeper insight into Huck’s personality and how best to support him when he struggles. She also included daily photos and videos, which were not only fun to see but incredibly helpful in understanding her training methods. When we picked Huck up, Sarah spent a significant amount of time walking us through his training and guiding us through hands-on practice. This ensured a smooth transition and set us up for continued success at home. We are extremely happy with Sarah’s services and wholeheartedly recommend her at Off Leash K9 Training.

I became a foster fail two years ago with my lil' gremlin Lucy. She was so easy and such a happy dog. Fast forward two years. Lucy decided she was not a fan of female dogs and had attacked four. No injuries but I was mortified. I found Laurie from google reviews and decided my adorable cujo could use a two week board and train. I was nervous but very grateful for the daily progress videos. I am so proud of Lucy! Our follow up training with Laurie have been impressive. I would have never thought Lucy could go into stores and behave like the total rockstar she is. Laurie's knowledge is so helpful! My bond with Lucy continues to grow thanks to Laurie's help and continual guidance.

I had a great experience with Off Leash K9 and their team. Tyler was helpful getting everything set up, and our Trainer, Laurie, did a terrific job! We are so thankful for her. I did the 2 week board & train program with 2 dogs. I procrastinated due to the cost, but now I wish I would have done it sooner. I have a 2 year old German Shepherd and 2 year old Toy Aussie–both good dogs, but I wasn't able to bring them around other dogs and they were embarrassing in public. I knew the German Shepherd had a lot of potential she just needed to be trained. I honestly did not think the Toy Aussie could be trained because he had temperament issues and high anxiety since I got him as a pup. Tyler & Laurie were both confident they could work with that, and they were right. Laurie sent videos and detailed updated every night. It was clear that she was patient with the dogs, took great care of them, and they came back as different dogs! Trained and much more well behaved. I'm having fun continuing the work with them. These are the first dogs I've ever had trained and it will change my perspective as a dog owner. It's worth it!
