Hi Fanta, While we do require the dogs to be housebroken to enroll in our board and train program our puppy program for dogs 5 months and under does help you set up a good routine with crate training and breaks to be successful with housebreaking.

I had a great experience with Off-Leash K9 Training Maryland. Tony worked with my 6-month old Standard Poodle, Dixie, during her 2-week board-and-train, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Throughout the program, Tony sent daily video updates so I could see her progress and stay involved. When I picked Dixie up, he took a lot of time to walk me through everything she learned, teach me how to continue working with her, answer all my questions, and make sure I felt confident before leaving. I’ve had Dixie back for almost a week now, and she truly feels like a changed puppy. She’s more obedient, more confident, and honestly seems happier now that she has structure and clear guidance. I highly recommend Tony and Off-Leash K9 Training Maryland to anyone looking for professional and caring dog training.

IF you plan to send your dog to day care, don't get e-collar training, which is what this company uses. Doggy day care centers DO NOT allow e-collars, so all of the training becomes a waste. If your dog is high energy and doesn't respond to commands without the use of an e-collar, you end up with an overstimulated dog that suffers from anxiety in a doggy day care environment. My dog has been kicked out of 3 doggy day care centers so far for crate anxiety as well as overstimulation aggression. When I tell them he was trained with an e-collar, they all are disgusted saying that it is cruel and uses fear as a training method. The best way to know what your dog feels is to put that e-collar up to your skin...then you will know. I'm still on the fence as to whether e-collars are humane or not. I have learned, however, that e-collars don't actually reform undesired dog behavior. They just teach fear when used to do whatever they are told. We sent him to Off Leash because he is a high energy AmStaff puppy who needed to learn how to listen to commands and calm down a bit. I gave more than one star because, although I don't know why my dog came home with obvious stress shedding after boarding at his trainer's home for 2 weeks, his trainer was nice and the e-collar training did teach him to obey commands and calm my dog down a bit. But now I'm stuck with a dog who has behavior unacceptable for doggy day care since the e-collar is not allowed...all for $3K! Disclaimer: Owners are always blamed for any issues with their dogs after training assuming they did not continue the work with their dog. I continued the work, and my dog listens to all of his commands from me except for heel without the e-collar when he is walking into or out of day care. But Off Leash uses commands that not all trainers use, so he doesn't always respond to the day care workers' commands. And day care is not a cop out for taking care of your dog when you have to work a full-time job...it's a humane choice rather than leaving them home alone and inside all day.
