Off Leash K9 Training Lubbock

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Brittany and what she has able to do not only for our dog but for our family. She is a miracle worker and we are now able to open the front door walk and not be fearful of our pup running off. He also comes inside on command and his manners when greeting our company is much more controlled! It’s worth every penny and we would do it again if we ever decide to get another puppy! Highly recommend Brittany and her program.

Brittany was our trainer for our 1yo Pitbull/Shepherd mix. She did such a good job with our boy. He went to training because he was disobedient and had a tendency to pull on the leash and be aggressive towards other dogs. Brittany worked with him for two weeks and it is a day and night difference now since he’s home. He listens to many commands and he is so much more obedient. He doesn’t pull on the leash when we’re walking and he doesn’t even acknowledge other dogs now. He now wants to listen and evens waits for us to give commands. Our experience with Brittany was completely transparent and she even gave us videos and updates about him daily. This training was completely worth it for us and we are very pleased.

My 14 week old German Shepherd puppy Saoirse graduated from her two week boarding and train program. My goals were for her to master basic commands, improve her confidence, and learn some puppy manners. Her trainer was Brenna and she was amazing! From the very beginning I knew Saoirse was in great hands. On pick up day Brenna answered any questions I had and made sure we were on the same page. Saoirse warned up to her right away and was calm when they left. Brenna is incredibly personable and easy to communicate with over the two weeks. If I had any questions she answered promptly. As a part of the 2 week program Brenna uploaded the cutest progress videos every night showing what she was working on with Saoirse. In addition to the basic commands Brenna taught Saoirse door manners, got her used to being bathed, and socialized her. Saoirse isn’t fully vaccinated yet and Lubbock is a parvo hotspot, Brenna took extra precautions and never let Saoirse touch the ground outside of her home. This was so important to me and I’m so glad she understood this. I’m so happy Saoirse was able to go places while staying safe. On drop off day Brenna, Saoirse, and I had a two hour session where I learned how to reinforce everything they worked on together. Brenna exceeded my expectations. She helped me learn how to speak Saoirse’s language. Thanks to Brenna’s amazing skills I have a confident and happy pup. I cannot recommend Brenna or Off Leash K9 Training Lubbock enough. The staff made booking the training easy. You can really tell everyone there is passionate about keeping the dogs happy and safe! 100000/10.

First of all, this review is not for our trainer. We really liked our trainer and feel that she worked very well with our dog. However, I can only give two stars because I don’t feel that, in our experience, we received what was advertised. We enrolled our golden retriever in the two week board and train, which is a pretty substantial financial commitment. Based on the marketing and what we had spoken to the owner (?) about, we had expected a lot of socializing and for our dog to come out of the training with some off leash obedience. However, our dog was not able to do much socializing during the training because our trainer told us she was having a hard time on the leash (chewing on it/normal young dog stuff.) I totally understand that, but I wish I would have known that our dog needed to go into the training already good on a leash to receive the socializing/training in public that we had spoken about. We assumed that would be part of the training and not impact the outcome. After the board and train she still had a very hard time with any distractions at all and was very “hyper” when out in public. We decided to pay for this service because I was about to have a baby and needed to be able to easily handle our dog on walks and in public while also having baby/kids with me. Unfortunately, I was unable to do that even with the e-collar because she was reacting to everything we’d come across on our walks. Secondly, the obedience (at least for us) was only somewhat consistent if the e-collar was on our dog. That’s understandable, but just know that you may have to continue training your dog with the e-collar for a long time afterwards to obtain any obedience without it. Our dog never responded to the “off” command at all, even with the e-collar. I’m not sure if it’s something they trained her on. I have 3 little kids at home, so that’s a command I was really looking forward to. All that said, the problem may have been that our dog was still very young. She was only a few weeks past the 20 week cut off for “puppy” training. However, I did tell the owner during our consultation that I was concerned about her age and asked if we should wait a while before boarding her, and she told me that it wouldn’t be a problem. I do think the trainers are very good and really do care for your dog! I just find that the advertising gives expectations that may not be met.

Brittany did an amazing job in the 2 week board & train with my Golden Retriever, Sky!! She sent videos every evening showing what my dog learned, as well as her amazing progress!! Manners at home were bad before Sky’s training, and she’s doing amazing now that she’s back home! Sky will undoubtedly become a Therapy Dog!! Brittany is truly a dog whisperer!! I highly recommend Brittany at Off Leash K9 Training of Lubbock!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
