Few things before you think of using this company. 1. If you are the person (and you know who you are) who goes into the vets office and you argue and tell them why you know better and they are wrong, dont use this company. If you know better why are you asking them for help? 2. If you dont know your dog, and understand them, then you have no way of helping the animal. You must be in tune with your dog and understand their behavior. 3. Actually be honest and listen to what they tell you to do or not do (even if you "know better"). 4. Dont sugar coat your dogs issues. I did the 2 week boarding and training with Ian. From the time i met him I knew he knew what he was talking about. 24 years dealing with military and civilian working dogs (not as a handler but a patrolman) he was already assessing my dog walking through the door and told me what his behaviors were at home just from a 2 min observation. I trained my dog on basic commands but wanted fine tuning. Thats where Off Leash came in. I saw the reviews about heavy use of an electric collar. Dont be fooled that they are not a reward based device, they are. All you are doing is using them as an attention getter and praising or giving a treat after the action is complied with. YOU DONT HURT THE DOG. Also peopke say the dog comes back distressed or burnt out ect. That is not the case. Yes mine was tired from living in a strangers house and training for 2 weeks, however when i got him he was not the same dog. At 1 year old he was no longer acting like an imature puppy, he was acting like an adult dog. So the jumping around and pointless energy he now is obedient and mellow. He still gets all excited when were in "play mode". So no you will not get back the dog you dropped off. I never saw a video where my dog was scared or hesitant with the handler and even on pick up day still joyfully engaged the handler. Your animal will be safe and taken care of. With all that said, if your not the "i know it all" and are honest, your money will be well spent.
Jessica was absolutely phenomenal! Her communication and updates were better than we were anticipating. She sent us photos and videos of all the progress he was making over the two weeks and he has come home a different dog. Would do it again.
Mandy is the best! My puppy learned so many critical skills in just two weeks. I highly recommend sending your dog to the board and train program!
