Off Leash K9 Training, Duluth

We have had a fantastic experience with Paige Williams and would highly recommend her and Off Leash Georgia. We did eight sessions and then a 2 week board and train. Our 6 year old Pitt mix is very stubborn and reactive, but Paige just worked miracles with her. She was also great about explaining the techniques to us so that we could practice at home (my husband and I definitely needed training as well to be better owners!). We loved getting updates and videos, and especially loved knowing that our pup was with someone who clearly loves her job and her trainees.

Wow! My rescue labradoodle (80% lab/20% poodle) just completed a 2-week board and train with Paige, and the difference in his behavior is night and day! He was extremely dog reactive, so much so that I could not walk him in the park near other dogs. He would bark and lunge and act like he was going to kill them. He was not at all aggressive, but the reactivity was a major problem, especially for me because I have had 5 surgeries from a detached finger from intervening in a dog fight 1 1/2 years ago and PTSD from the whole experience. I was optimistic that he would learn basic commands in this training, but I have to say I was skeptical Paige could cure the dog reactivity, based on past experiences. I honestly signed up for it as a last resort and because the training comes with refreshers, so I figured they would continue to work with him if the initial training didn’t work. Well, she did cure the reactivity! I walked him yesterday in the same park for the first time since his training, and he was nearly perfect. We immediately saw 3-4 small dogs on the bridge where there is no way to escape, and he whined a little and then listened to his commands and kept going. No barking or lunging whatsoever! We saw another 10-15 dogs on the walk, and his commands combined with a low shock did the trick every single time. He was an absolute angel! His behavior at home is also considerably better. If I give him the “off” command, he backs away from the windows instead of jumping on the window sills and barking at every person or dog that passes by. He also no longer jumps on the kitchen table, which he learned from one of my other dogs. I cannot thank Paige enough for changing our lives! The difference is truly remarkable. As for the two weeks of training, Paige is super communicative the entire time. She listened to our needs ahead of time and sent me progress notes and videos every day. I felt confident she was doing what was promised, but I was a personal skeptic of the reactivity training given multiple prior experiences with other dogs and other trainers. Well, Paige exceeded my expectations in every way, and I look forward to taking Off Leash up on their free refreshers if he forgets anything he learned. If you find yourself in a similar situation where your dog’s reactivity, in particular, but also other bad behavior, is affecting your and his/her quality of life, enroll in this training! It is a financial sacrifice, but if your results are like mine, you will not regret it.

We had a great experience working with Paige! She was patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared about both us and our dog. She explained everything clearly and tailored the training to fit our dog’s needs, which made a huge difference. While also showing us tips and tricks to make sure we were putting in our part at home! We saw real improvements quickly, and the process felt manageable and stress-free. I cannot say enough good things about Off Leash and their trainer, Paige. My rescue, Porter, came to her as a highly anxious dog who never listened, marked nonstop, had terrible leash manners, and was constantly in my face pawing for attention due to nervous energy. He had been passed around the foster system until age 3, and I was determined not to let that happen again—but honestly, I was completely at my wits’ end. It reached the point where I truly didn’t know what to do anymore. I tried everything—constant trips outside, strict routines, even doggie diapers—but nothing registered with him that the behavior needed to stop. He continued peeing on furniture, marking nonstop, and even pooping in my gym/yoga room. It wasn’t a lack of potty breaks; it was anxiety-driven behavior. I was overwhelmed, frustrated, and exhausted, and I hated that so much of our time together felt tense instead of joyful. After the 2-week doggie bootcamp, Porter is a completely different dog—in the best way. His leash manners are night and day, the marking has completely stopped, and he is now calm, obedient, and settled. He no longer paws at me for reassurance or nervous energy. He listens, respects boundaries, and finally seems confident and at peace—and so am I. Paige was incredible throughout the entire process. She sent daily videos and updates, which gave me constant reassurance and showed just how much care, consistency, and expertise went into his training. It was clear she truly understood Porter and tailored the program specifically to his needs. Before: I was constantly overwhelmed and worried that frustration would define our relationship. After: I have an amazing relationship with a confident, well-mannered dog—and a calm, happy home where neither of us is living on edge. This experience truly changed my feelings toward Porter in the most positive way. I’m so happy with him, and I’m incredibly grateful to Off Leash and Paige for helping us get here.
