Off-Leash K9 Training - Denver

We sent our 14mo old Golden Retriever to the one-week program with trainer Stevi. She made it easy to coordinate a meet up beforehand to get lightly acquainted, check out the space, and answer any questions I had. I have been very impressed with the training that Stevi provided/accomplished in the week. It's fun because I can trust my dog off leash now both on trails and in the Denver neighborhood where we live. And walking on leash has become so much more enjoyable (no more yanking!). Stevi was able to incorporate the commands I liked and had been using outside of the ones that were "standard" in the program which I appreciated. She sent me daily videos to show what they had been working on. It was nice to see progress and to see that my dog was happy during her training week. She has been very available via text with questions and I plan to use the refreshers that come with the package. Highly recommend!

I truly cannot say enough great things about the boarding and training experience for my 11-month-old Labrador! When we first got her, I thought I would be able to train her myself, but there were a few things that just weren’t sticking — especially walking nicely, barking, and recall. I started with a few one-on-one sessions with Stevi and then enrolled my pup in the two-week board and train, and the difference is night and day. Our walks used to be stressful, and now I can actually enjoy them! She is so much more confident, listens to my commands, and is ultimately safer because of the training she received. I also loved getting an overview video each day showing what she worked on and learned that day. It made me feel so involved in the process even while she was away. I cannot recommend Off Leash K9 and Stevi enough! Not only did she make an incredible difference in my dog’s behavior, but my Lab absolutely adored her — which made me feel even better about leaving her in her care. We are so grateful for everything Stevi did for us!

I cannot recommend Derek enough! The progress our dog, Cash, made with him has been incredible. Before training, Cash could barely walk on a leash without pulling so hard that he would literally make himself throw up. Now, he can walk beautifully both on and off leash, and his overall behavior and recall have improved more than I ever thought possible. Derek clearly knows what he’s doing, understands dogs, and was able to get results that genuinely exceeded our expectations. Seeing the difference in Cash has been amazing, and we are so grateful. Five stars without hesitation! He also sent videos of my dogs new skills every day he was at board and train which made my day!!! It is money well spent!

We had our very high energy puppy Wyatt at the two week board and train over the winter. I loved getting the videos each day of his progress. Derek was great with him!! He is now just over a year old and still a crazy guy but definitely knows his commands and wants to do the right thing. We recently moved to an area where he can spend alot more time off leash and I can really see how well he has grasped the skills he learned. Thanks off leash k9!! Stevi at Off Leash K-9 is so wonderful! She helped get my dog Koda to be so good on and off leash. I can now trust him off leash, where as before we did these trainings he was such a bolted and had zero recall. I did the 4-pack training with Stevi and we worked on come, place, and heel and even worked on distracted heel and come with other dogs and Koda ignored those temptations and listened and stayed in heel and left the dogs and smells to come back when called. I’m so thankful for Stevi and all her help! We can now confidently walk Koda in crowded areas and we can also let him off leash and know that he will come back when called. Can’t recommend this program enough! Super helpful and hands-on training so that I knew what to do and how to teach Koda these different commands. Wish we would’ve done this sooner but so glad we’re set now for Koda to enjoy all the hikes and off-leash areas in a much safer way now!
