Off-Leash K9 Training - Colorado Springs

When we took Aspen there (Malinois mix. Rescue) she would go nuts if she saw another dog while on a walk. She would bark, pull and bite our other dog is she was near her out of frustration. Within two weeks we could walk her. Within 5 weeks we could go to a brewery where there were other dogs. On a trail I just have to give her some space between the dogs. We are still working on this one so she isn’t quite to being able to sniff noses with other dogs but we took her to an art walk and a music festival and she was walking past other dogs. She is heeling very well. Does sit and down and place at any time. The only thing I still struggle with is the “free walk” and not going to the end of the leash and pulling a tad. We are working on that still and I know I can call them for advice. Very pleased with the training and the care they took. to make we understood the recommended stimulation levels for each command. We also let Aspen be off leash while on some open meadow hikes and she did GREAT - always coming back when asked.

I just picked up my dog from a 2 week train and board and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Chris trained my dog Hennessy and did an amazing job! She is more focused and can be outside with out distractions! As soon as we got home my husband actually said “ wow I feel like I got my life back.” She is like a new dog but with the same personality that we love so much. This place works miracles and I can’t wait for all the years to come now that I have such a well behaved dog that actually listens! Thank you Chris and off leash. This is an amazing service that delivers what they promise! I would also like to note that it is extremely clear that while Chris had Hennessy for the two weeks she was well taken care of and loved. We received videos through out the training of her progress which was also great and showed just how much attention to detail that Chris and off leash had for our needs and her training.

Jonathan and the Off-Leash K9 crew did an amazing job with my 1 year old long-haired GSD. Before training, I could never trust Gunner off leash and would always have to walk around other dogs on walks to avoid Gunner pulling the leash. Now, I can take Gunner off-leash around my apartment complex, bar patio's, and hikes without having to worry about anything. Everywhere I go to, I get compliments on how well-behaved he is! The high quality training does come with a price tag though. However, I have talked to multiple people who went the cheaper route and have wished they would have went with Off-leash K9. You get what you pay for and it will increase the quality of life for your dog! 10/10 recommend Jonathan and the Off-Leash K9 crew.

I’m about a month out from picking my dog up the 2-Week Board and Train program, and it was very worth it. My 2.5 year old German Shepherd went in with knowledge of basic commands in a controlled environment, but the second there were any distractions (new people, other dogs, squirrels, etc.) she would not listen and would be pretty anxious/growly. She also was not very good at walking on the leash and would usually pull, even with “no pull” harnesses, etc. NOW...she is so so so easy to take on walk around the neighborhood - literally no pulling and we can walk past a barking dog without her lunging at it and freaking out. She comes when I call her 100% of the time in off leash situations. I’ve also taken her to a few dog friendly patios and she has been doing really well staying calm and laying down. We practice her skills nearly daily, but the strong foundation set by Jonathan and the crew at Off Leash made a monumental difference. They explained their training techniques really well at the initial consultation and also did a good job training me to give commands and be consistent. They kept me updated with neat videos every few days of my dog progressing in her skills, and even communicated to me about a very minor injury they treated (one I really would not have even noticed) and they took really great care of her. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and this was totally worth it!
