Off Leash K9 Training, Chicago

Off Leash K9 Chicago was truly a great investment for our family. We have a black Lab mix who was struggling with serious behavior issues — constant mouthing, trying to pull down my daughter, and leash pulling so intense that my husband was knocked down multiple times. We tried everything: different training methods, a personal trainer at home, group classes… nothing worked. We were heartbroken and even started considering rehoming him because we couldn’t safely leave him alone with our daughter. We cannot say enough about our trainer, Carson. Before training even began, we sent him a video to show the behavior we were dealing with. He immediately understood the issue and helped us target it in a way no one else had. His daily check‑ins — complete with pictures and videos — gave us so much peace of mind. We always knew our pup was in good hands. Board‑and‑train was our last resort, and choosing Off Leash K9 Chicago changed everything. Our dog, Nebula, is now calmer, more responsive, and finally manageable. They didn’t just train our dog — they gave us confidence, safety, and peace in our home again. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about Carson from Off Leash K9 Training’s board and train program. Villa is a fast growing, energetic and excited 6 month old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy -and she can be a lot to handle. Carson handled her with ease, or at least made it look easy! Carson focuses on positive, effective techniques and took the time to educate us just as much as he trained our puppy. She absolutely loved him and the progress made in only 2 short weeks was incredible and we are so pleased. She learned 7 different commands and I continue to be amazed at how she responsds to each of them. It has been a huge help in getting her to settle and she has much better impulse control. We recently went out of town to visit family, and brought Villa with. I was a little nervous, wondering how she would do in a different environment, not on her home turf. I am so happy to share that she did fantastic! Our family could not stop complimenting her in how well mannered and behaved she was. This was no doubt all as a result of the training she did with Carson. Truly life changing for us!

I was so frustrated with my dogs behavior, but after coming here I am now able to manage my dogs behavior!!! My dog no longer barks at my neighbors, no longer pulls on walks and has learned how to heel and stay down.My trainer Alexis was very patient and clear with lessons for my dog Oso, and was able to help me manage my emotions when it comes to discipline! I am very happy with my experience here and am so grateful to have had a trainer that fully explained all details of training, while helping me manage the training outside of our sessions!! Very happy with the results from our 8-week course with off-leash. They helped my fiance and I as first time owners, give our 3 yr old rescue Zelda some much needed structure. Our trainer was Scarlett, who did an amazing job from start to finish with Zelda who came from a very traumatic past. I will say you have to take the time to practice what you learn in class with your dog throughout the week. Throughout the course Scarlett taught us as owners how to communicate with Zelda effectively whether she was going something good or bad, and the results were near immediate. She learned how to hold all of these comands... Sit, come (recall), place, down, heel, and of course "no." And we took time to focus on Zelda's dog on dog reactivity which has really improved since. If your dog has any types of issues, and you do not know how to fix them.. take this course, request Scarlett if possible, take the time to train them an hour a day in between classes, and i promise they will improve. If you do not have the time to work every day, I would absolutely trust them to board and train my dog. 10/10 recommend to any struggling owner.
