Off Leash K9 Training, Chicago

We had the best experience with Off Leash K9 Training and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their dogs overall behavior and their relationship with their dog. The process was easy and informative and we felt super comfortable leaving our dog with the team at Off Leash for two weeks. One of the biggest selling points for us was that our dog would be living at the trainers house rather than at a facility. Our trainer, Matthew was amazing!!! He sent us text updates every day including pictures and videos and progress updates on how our dog was doing. We dropped off an incredibly stubborn, distracted dog who wasn't a great walker and had no recall. We have only had him back for a few days and we cannot believe the progress he has made, it's like night and day. Even though he's a much better trained dog, he is still the same dog with the same fun loving personality, which we are so happy about! If you are on the fence about doing it I hope this helps you decide, worth every penny!!

My husband and I are super grateful for the team at off leash k9! We wish we did the 2 week board and train program sooner! Our 3 year old, female, German Pinscher, Meli knew a lot of commands, but had very selective hearing and was easily distracted! With a 6 month old baby and more to come, we needed more control over Meli in situations in our home and on walks. She is very prey driven and was distracted on walks, which made them so unenjoyable and impossible/dangerous to do with a baby in a stroller. Now she heels beautifully and I feel comfortable taking her and the stroller! This is huge for her because she is a very active dog and needs to go on walks. She also listens so much better in our home! I can be playing with our baby on the floor and she will stay in a down whenever I tell her to. And her recall in and out of the house has done a complete 180! I no longer have to bribe her with treats to ‘come’ no matter where she is in the house/outside or what she’s doing. Meli has some behavior issues and we were concerned that she would have a negative association with the e-collar, but that doesn’t seem to be the case! She licks it every time we take it off and she never gives us a problem when putting it on. Thank you Damien, Carson, and the whole team who helped Meli!
