Our dog went for two weeks board and train with Mike. We couldn’t recommend him more. Tucker went as a hyper puppy who could not settle on his own and had no stay or down in him. Mike sent us pictures and videos everyday, get us up to date with everything that was going on, should us all his adventures each day. Tucker looked like he was on holiday and loved hanging out with Mikes dogs to socialise him. When Tucker came back, he was like a different dog in a good way, he demonstrated all the skills listed in the board and train, long sit, long down, off leash walking, great recall etc. All at 5 months. We couldn’t be happier with the training. Mike also went above and beyond to accommodate a change of plan with pick up.

BEWARE WARNING : I enrolled my dog in the one-week board and train program after being specifically drawn to the advertised results, including guaranteed obedience“loose leash walking/no more pulling,” reliable recall (“come on command”), and obedience under distraction. These were not vague hopes on my end, they were the exact issues I communicated before and during training, and they were also listed directly in the company’s own program descriptions as well as said to be achievable during my consultation on the phone. While my dog did show some small improvement in minor areas, the primary behaviors I paid to address were still not being reliably demonstrated after the program and they tried to claim the training that I already gave him prior to the program as their own . The day before pickup, I even received trainer updates stating leash manners and commands still needed more practice which clearly shows his training wasn’t complete . After raising concerns, I was told dogs “test boundaries” at home, to continue reinforcement training ( you cannot maintain something the dog never had), and use refresher sessions( I didn’t pay for refresher classes. I paid for what the program described and what was communicated to me and advertise). My frustration was never that I expected perfection or zero upkeep. My frustration was that the core advertised behaviors I paid for did not feel reliably established in the first place, despite being represented as part of the one-week program. I attempted multiple times to resolve this professionally and even pursued the matter in small claims court. The court ultimately ruled in the company’s favor based on the contract language regarding results my vary. Due to that I would like warn others of how this exact thing can happen to them. They don’t have to go by what they advertise or the program description or perform adequate training as long as you sign the contract they can claim “ well the contract says results may vary “ as they did with me. Although I lost the case, this isn’t coming out of spite I knew it was a far reach, but I was just holding onto the small chance that justice would be served unfortunately that was not the case, but I’m satisfied in knowing that God doesn’t play when it comes to me, and in my experience people will reap what they sow in other ways, therefore this review isn’t coming out of spite or defeat is coming in a manner to save others from being out of thousands of dollars please head my warning. This review is simply my honest experience as a customer. This experience may not have been the case for everybody, ( i know they have some good reviews I even previously gave them one Prematurely after being an asked to give one but after seeing the actual results this one is way more accurate). Don’t be like me I believed the good comments that they obviously keep and ignored the bad ones and that resorted to me losing thousands. If you think this cant happen to you it definitely can.

My dog Nala and I did the reactive training package with Mike Trimble and I could not be more pleased with our experience! I am so impressed with how far Nala came since we started training 8 weeks ago. Before we started I was a bit skeptical on how much of a difference her level of reactivity would be by the time we finished, but I’ve noticed a huge difference and it’s been so rewarding to see that it’s possible for her to coexist around other dogs and overall live a better life!
