Off Leash K9 Training, Athens

Rather than write a separate review for Off Leash K9 Training, I decided to copy and paste the email I sent to our trainer, Paige, regarding the training she gave our German Shepherd Dog "Chase" We signed up for the one week stay at the Trainer's residence and was provided updates and videos every day. Chase returned to us a new dog after that week, and one that made this experience all we could have hoped for in getting our dog trained. Hi Paige I just had to share this story with you......Every morning I take Chase up to our church to work on his commands and all the things you taught us. The church area has an empty field behind it of about 20 acres, so it's a perfect spot for extra - extra - long "place and hold" and when I "break" Chase, it gives him hundreds of yards to run and get great exercise. So, I was up there this morning, and the church had a children activity in the back area with about 30 kids playing outside. As I started our routine, I noticed the kids all gathering at the fence and looking through the wire to watch us train. When I "broke" Chase and he raced toward me, they all screamed and laughed and applauded. They started yelling, again...again....again, so I placed him on hold walked about 100 yards away, but stood close to them as Chase just held his spot and sat there staring at me. I yelled "break" and he rocketed toward us with all of the kids again screaming in delight as he ran passed me, turned around and came to sit right by my side. I put him in "place" and let the kids pet him and he was PERFECT. No jumping, no out of control behavior, just a perfect huge gentleman. They had a blast, as did I, and even more so, so did Chase. As I was getting ready to leave, one of the church workers came over to me and asked me excitedly, DO YOU TRAIN DOGS, because I have the worst German Shepherd ever. She said her dog ate everything, wouldn't listen, and at 9 months old still wasn't house broken. I said no, no I'm sorry, I'm only working with my dog. I explained the training you provided through Off Leash K9 Training and spoke of you and your skills, along with the great experience we had with Off Leash. Her final comment is what made me decide to write to you. She said I've watched you with your dog out here before, and I have never seen one more attentive, more obedient and with more joy than you two as you play and work together. I thanked her and after speaking a while longer, I left the area, but thought of how appreciative I am of you and your work with Chase. I can tell you he is the dog everyone wants when they decide to get a dog. He is so well behaved I can take him anywhere, our bond is stronger than with any other dog I've ever had, and the joy of having such a dog is beyond wonderful.
