Off Leash K9 Training

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience for other dog owners considering this program. Katie was the trainer assigned to my dog during his training program, and unfortunately my experience was not a positive one. We enrolled our dog to address leash reactivity and help him become calmer and more confident. Unfortunately, we did not see improvement in the behavioral issues we specifically sought help for. One of my biggest concerns was the training philosophy. I understood going in that e-collars were part of the program. What I did not realize was how heavily the training would appear to rely on corrections. As an owner, I left feeling that the focus was more on stopping behaviors than helping the dog understand, process, and work through them. I was also under the impression that my dog would be living as part of a home environment during training. Instead, I became very concerned about the amount of time he appeared to spend confined. He returned home with missing fur and raw spots on his hind legs, which was heartbreaking to see. He was already an anxious dog, and seeing him come home in that condition left me deeply worried about the level of stress he experienced while there. I also attended a personal training session with another one of my dogs and found the methods extremely uncomfortable. The experience did not align with my beliefs about how dogs should be trained, and I left feeling upset rather than encouraged. I understand that different owners may have different experiences and different training philosophies. However, this program was not the right fit for me or my dogs. Looking back, I regret sending my dog there and wish I had chosen a more relationship-based and confidence-building approach. This review reflects my honest experience as someone who loves her dogs deeply and trusted this program to help them.

Kylie did amazing with our Finn! He came home and truly was a new dog in the best way! Now he loves training. Kylie was great at giving us updates and answering all of our questions. We never had to worry about how he was doing, etc. She always let us know exactly what was going on (and gave daily updates on his medical exam, feeding schedule, etc. Along with lots of pictures and videos) 10/10 recommend!
