Obey Dog Training

Holy cow! Orion managed to train our completely reactive dog. Neighbor dogs barking or at the fence? Reaction. Squirrel? Reaction. Piece of trash blowing in the wind? Reaction. It didn’t matter what it was - she reacted and was uncontrollably beside herself, sometimes for many minutes (which felt like hours). After she attacked the neighbor’s dog (for no reason) we sought help. We did the three week board and train program and have never looked back. She is still our sweet, spunky, quirky girl. She has all of her best qualities and none of her worst. She thinks before she acts (much of the time) and when she acts, she’s easily corrected. Orion trained her and then trained us - including our 6-year-old. We all know the rules, the plans, and how to help her be successful. Our walks are pleasant and our household is so much calmer. And she’s happier! You can tell she likes knowing what’s expected of her and how to do the “right” thing. Thank you, Orion!!!!

We had the great pleasure of working with Orion at the start of summer. We had planned a big family trip out of the country and our little guy Huckleberry couldn’t join us. It worked out perfectly for us to utilize Obey Training’s 3 week program! Not only was our pup getting the proper training but he also had a safe secure spot during our absence. Finding Orion and his training has been such a game changer on how we experience our outdoor and active lifestyle with Huckleberry. He’s is a 2.5 yr old mini Aussiedoodle, full of life, very energetic and super smart (so he’s easily bored). We chose Obey Training’s 3 week program to specifically target Huckleberry’s limited social interaction with other dogs, along with his reactiveness when on leash. Pulling, lunging and becoming very excitable,making for difficult walks, and limited confidence on what would happen when another dog passed by or were present in a yard. We are so pleased to report all issues before training are no longer present! His heel is tight, call backs are snappy, off leash has become a luxury we didn’t have before. Both Huckleberry and myself can now interact with greater confidence through all possible scenarios. Just recently, we brought Huck with us to Golden, CO for the day to really test out his progress only 2 months post training. He did phenomenally, non-reactive to the chaos of a busy downtown along with other dogs! Settled in calmly under tables of dog friendly dining spots while being surrounded with other dogs! This was never our reality before choosing to work with Obey Training! Initial informative phone calls were had between my wife and I with Orion. He catered everything around what we specifically wanted to accomplish for Huck. He is very knowledgeable, gave us a tour of his place of training and gave a clear guidance on how he’d approach all of our needs. He was extremely gracious and sent us updates and videos anytime we asked. Working with Orion has been a pleasure and we will continue to utilize his service for all future training situations! I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Obey Dog Training! Over the two week board and train program, Orion helped build so much confidence in my dog Enzo while giving me all the knowledge to continue the training at home. We’ve seen a huge improvement in his obedience, recall, stay, and ability to stay calm around other dogs and new environments. We recently boarded our 4-year-old French Bulldog and our 7-month-old Saint Bernard at Obey Dog Training for a 2-week obedience program, and we could not be happier with the results! From the very first conversation, Orion was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring about our dogs. He took the time to understand their individual personalities. Our Frenchie can be stubborn and our Saint Bernard is a big, bouncy puppy full of energy. He created a tailored training plan for each of them. After just two weeks, we picked up two completely different dogs (in the best way possible). They are noticeably calmer, more responsive, and actually listen to commands both at home and on walks. The Saint Bernard no longer pulls like a freight train, and our French Bulldog has stopped his selective hearing when it comes to “come” and “leave it.” The progress is night and day. Orion’s training methods are positive, consistent, and effective. He also provided us with clear instructions and follow-up tips so we can maintain the training at home. The facility is clean, and our dogs were happy and well cared for during their stay.
