Obedient Paws

Well worth the investment! We have an 11 month old English Lab who from the beginning had decided he wanted to do things his way. Dealing with Bailey became more of a dread then enjoyable as he never listened, jumped on everyone and everything, and he was always trying to steal food off the kitchen counter. After doing some research we decided to send Bailey to boot camp at Obedient Paws, which turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. We made two trips to camp to see Bailey while he was there and it was an immediate noticeable difference, but the real test would come when we brought him home. Once home we where able to confirm the sending him was an excellent decision! Bailey was now listening when we told him to leave something alone, we can now have visitors over without feeling like we need to put the dog outside or up before they get there, and food on the counter is safe! I highly recommend Obedient Paws to anyone who is having difficulties with their dog. Thank you!!

My GSD was adopted on his death bed at 2. I worked with him for 6 months and he was a fantastic, obedient, and loyal animal. In a year’s time frame, I moved cross-country, got married and had a baby, and his obedience was put on the back burner. He was under stimulated, undersocialized, began gaining weight, and started resource guarding myself and my children against strangers and even my husband who lived in the same home. He was very anxious and stressed, began sleeping on the furniture while we were gone, practically plowed through us when called to come, and couldn’t stay calm. The breaking point was him attacking an HVAC tech in our home. I was horrified. I thought we would lose our dog because of his breed, and began avoiding having anyone over, house arrested him more, and if someone familiar happened to come over, we muzzled him. He grew even more anxious and so did we. We brought him to Adam at Obedient Paws, and our lives were immediately changed. The 4 week boot camp will be done for any future animals we have, and recommended to anyone with a new or old pup. Our dog listens to commands the first time, no longer resource guards, is attentive, eager to learn, no longer anxious, no longer barks at everything, doesn’t pull on walks and remains attentive and undistracted, the list goes on and on. He is the model citizen pet any owner would dream of. He separates work from play, doesn’t aggressively scare people at the front door anymore, and no distraction keeps him from obeying on the first command. It’s a completely different animal. His new drive overcame his anxiety and he’s all over a happier pup because of it, and we no longer have to worry about guests or our children. I couldn’t recommend Obedient Paws enough. If we moved away, I would come back with a new animal just for Adam. His hands on teaching with us on how to train our animals and handle them appropriately is more in depth than any other trainer or program I’ve ever seen. He truly did all of the hard work for us, and allowed us to reap the benefits while continuing training in our own way.

Put my Great Dane puppy in the one week boot camp. My dog has typical puppy issues. Play biting, jumping and begging for food. He also doesn’t like to listen. I also discovered that my puppy has some confidence issues. It’s something I never noticed but that the training brought out in him. The training started with the basics which is what me and my puppy needed. You get as much training as your dog does. How to properly hold a leash, how to use commands at the right time, and how to reward your dog for proper behavior as well as how to correct him for improper behavior. Adam also sent me texts giving me advice for how to go about things when boot camp was over. The facility is very clean and my dog got to interact and socialize with other dogs as part of his training. The three sessions I had with Adam will allow me to keep training my dog now that the boot camp is over. I highly recommend Obedient Paws.
