Paul Hormann, of Obedience Dog Training, is a great dog trainer and owner. He is extremely knowledgeable about many different breeds of dogs from small to large. He has worked closely with my dog Bella(a Maltese) and I. We learned all the basic commands: sit, down, stay, heel and come, which I am proud to say she follows routinely without hesitance. He also helped correct a problem she was having of jumping up on people who come to visit. Paul doesn't just train the dogs, he trains the owner. He gives you the skills you need in order to build a strong owner/ pet relationship with your dog. Best of all, his methods are safe and humane. Paul will come to you home and work with you in your dogs living environment. He understands human and dog behavior and will work with you to correct any specific issues you may have with your pet. My dogs are trained! I could not believe how quickly they picked up what Paul and I defined our goals for them to be. One of my dogs is a little older and kind of set in her ways. The other is young, big, clumsy and kind of dopey, as cute and lovable as she is! She had a bad habit of darting off after squirrels with me being dragged helplessly on the other end of the leash. I thought we never stood a chance. My dogs learned at different paces but they both learned! They will "heel" for me both on and off the leash. They no longer jump up on me. They now know I am in charge. They do not test me anymore. Yet there is the same level of love and adoration. Paul's methods are quick and direct. The dogs responded exactly as he predicted they would. Paul knows dogs. Paul knows people and how best they should interact with their best friends.
