Oak Ridge Dog Training and Boarding

My German shepherd spent 8 days with Holly for board and train services. Upon dropping off my dog, I knew I made the right choice. The property is huge, with ponds and exposure to other animals. Holly is professional and knowledgeable. She will help you identify specific training needs and address any behavior issues. I was very impressed by her knowledge. She has a lovely personality and is amazing with animals. Not everyone can work with Shepards or working dogs. She knows exactly what she is doing and can handle large dogs. During the boarding she provides progress updates. The indoor kennel is clean, bright. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog overnight for a week. When I picked up my dog, she spent a couple hours with me showing me how to continue with training my dog at home. While my dog was somewhat trained prior to the board and train, I struggled with a few things like walking on a leash. I have zero issues walking him since the training. His recall is now amazing. He is happier and so am I. I would recommend Oakridge/Holly to anyone looking for professional training. She is amazing!

We sent our puppy to Oak Ridge Dog Training for a two-week board and train, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. Holly was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. Her communication was top-notch — she consistently sent photos, videos, and updates, which made me feel so comfortable knowing exactly how he was doing while he was there. He went in for basic training, and he learned so much. One of my biggest concerns was how overly excited he would get around my little kids — jumping, biting at clothes, and even their hair. Since bringing him home, he is noticeably calmer and more controlled around them, which has been such a relief for our family. “Place” has been the biggest game-changer for us. Holly worked with him extensively on it, and it has been by far the most useful skill in our busy household — especially during chaotic moments or when visitors come over. Recall was another major concern of mine, and while he’s still learning, he made a lot of progress in just two weeks. Holly didn’t just train him — she took the time to show me exactly what to do and how to continue working with him at home so we can keep building on what he learned. I also really appreciate that Holly offers continued support after training if any questions come up. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs and their families. I would absolutely recommend Oak Ridge Dog Training to anyone considering a board and train — it was 100% worth it.
