NWB Dogs

I would give NWB dogs more stars if i could! I contacted Matt because I had an intense fear of being around other dogs with my dog, due to a past dog attack. This fear transferred through my dog’s leash and he became reactive with other dogs. Within 20 minutes of my first lesson with Matt, my dog learned to be non-reactive and neutral with other dogs in his environment. My lessons with Matt were both fun and rewarding - he gave me the tools and education I needed and I now enjoy hiking with my dog again. Thank you Matt and thank you to all of the NWB dogs, ya’ll are the best!

We started working with NWB when our border collie is 2 months old. This is the best investment we have made for our puppy. Jen answered my long list of questions patiently to help me understand NWB's training philosophy before we signed up. Their focus on the engagement of the dog with the owner is fundamental. Matt taught us how to build confidence on our puppy with games and feeding methods that were both fun for the dog and improves engagement at the same time. He taught us an exercising/training/playing/kenneling regiment that enabled our puppy to learn and rest effectively. As our puppy grew and learned, Matt continued to introduce more advanced training and play tactic to foster her drive and turn that into constructive and positive experience for both the dog and owner. Every week he addressed the development/behavioral challenges we had with the puppy. Matt's fundamental online course was very helpful for us to study and practice between our training sessions. He demonstrated proper timing and movement to guide the dog into the right behavior and all the while the dog was having a great time getting trained. Our puppy couldn't wait to work with Matt and Jenn each time we went there. They are both passionate about the well being of dogs, which means meeting the needs and drive of dogs while guiding them to fit well into the human world. Their approach is dynamic and specific to the particular temperament and needs of a dog. Although we are seasoned dog owners who raised/trained/rescued/fostered many dogs in the past, working with NWB has brought us to the next level. We read many dog training/behavior books. Still, there is nothing like working with a top notch trainer like Matt. Our puppy is only 4 months old now. And we are getting compliments all the time about how well behaved she is. People often asked us where we got her from. They should ask us where we got her trained instead.

This has been the best experience for both my dog and me. I started out knowing I wasn't getting the response from my dog that I wanted and little did I know I was the biggest part of the problem. Jenn is fabulous at encouraging and teaching you what your doing wrong but in a way that is encouraging rather than making you feel stupid. When I first started I had to lift my dog into the car (he isn't little). Now I just tell him to load up and in he goes. He will even do it without a leash. Many other benefits have come from this training. I no longer have a dog that does not listen to me. I am so happy with this training and would recommend it to anyone who is having issues. Jenn is such a blessing and is wonderful with showing you how to work with your dog. I can't say enough good about her
