NWB Dogs

Matt at NWB changed our lives through helping my dog (Cricket) and I understand each other. From the moment we met, we knew that things were going to change forever. Cricket was taught how to relax, think and control herself, while I was taught to understand, help, and protect Cricket. Every dog that becomes a part of my life will be taught how to live, in the same manner that Matt was able to teach myself and Cricket. I am forever grateful, proud and thankful that Matt became such an influential part of our life together.

Jen really helped us train our newly rescued 2 year old, 80lb lab, Sam. We have never been through legitimate training before but Sam is strong, very sweet but we needed to learn how to handle such a big dog. Our other dog is 30lbs and she runs the whole family but we wanted Sam to respond to commands quickly. Jen taught all of us how to communicate and how to use an e-collar so Sam could have freedom on our property but stay safe! I highly recommend Jen and Matt for the type of training that individuals need for their situations.

NWB saved my relationship with Worthy and his with me. It gets to a point sometimes (esp with rescues - or reactive / traumatized pups) that your relationship can decline into dysregulation, frustration, impatience, resentment, hurt, and it SUCKS when you get into that hole. Often a hole you need third party help to get out of - for Worthy and I we just needed an audible. A chance for a time out from one another to reestablish a baseline - take some time apart to heal, forgive and start over again. The boy I got back from bootcamp was completely transformed and we got the reset we needed. I was able to be the present and patient and trusting mom and forgive many of the things that made me anxious and afraid around him…and 2.5 years later he’s still rocking those skills and confidence he gained (and I gained) at his stay away camp. I’m so proud of him and grateful for the amazing team at NWB

When we adopted "Bonnie" she was unsocialized and extremely fearful. She would not even go in buildings and was completely terrified of anyone but us. Matt helped us change all that! He took "Bonnie" from a dog that couldn't leave the house, to a dog that could go almost anywhere and do almost anything. Even during the consultation, Matt gave us advice that completely changed the way to worked with "Bonnie" and I'm confident was a large part of making her into the wonderful companion she is today. We cannot sign his praises enough, and tell anyone with dogs in the gorge about NWB Dogs. Quality training is not cheap, but it was money very well spent. Having a confident and well mannered pet is priceless.
