NW K9 Obedience

John was a life changer for our dog. We were three months out from welcoming our first child, when our younger dog, Buddy, suddenly started acting very aggressively to our older dog. We were convinced that we were going to need to rehome him, since we couldn't risk having an aggressive 100lb dog around our newborn daughter. Fortunately, we got put in touch with John by one of the rescue agencies we talked to. We were told that he would be able to bring about change that others couldn't. He took our case very personally and we did a compressed and intensive training regimen with us. As he made very clear from the beginning it was as important or more to work with my wife and I, than it was to help train Buddy. We were lucky that we worked with John, because instead of 3 months, our daughter arrived 6 weeks later. There was a big question about whether Buddy was ready, but he had improved dramatically, and we worked with John to put many levels of caution in place. Fast forward 2 years and our daughter is best friends with Buddy. We still have a number of precautions in place, but we're fully able to maintain the discipline and training that we need to be comfortable having them be together. A huge thanks to John for making that happen. He really really cares about making a difference in the lives of the dogs and people he works with.

I have endless gratitude for our dog trainer John. Over the course of training, my dog has completely transformed, not just in her reactivity, or her behavior; but in her confidence and ability to navigate challenges. This past year has been especially tough due to significant health issues, yet John has been an absolute rock through it all. He has consistently shown incredible understanding, patience, and insight, supporting not only our dog but our entire family. I will admit I have probably overshared at times, but that openness created a level of trust that is truly rare and deeply appreciated. Our dog has grown to genuinely trust him, some might say he’s a favorite person to her now, which speaks volumes about the bond he builds. I am so incredibly proud of how far we have come, our dog, my husband, and myself, and SO much of that progress is thanks to John. He is absolutely top notch, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Living out of state, I haven’t had the pleasure of working with John in person, but I can’t say enough great things about the product side of his business!
