NorthShore Canine Academy - Sophie Amphlett

Sophie is the Mary Poppins of dogs! We rescued a SUPER ENERGETIC JUMPING HOUND puppy and we needed help. We reached out to Sophie & she offered some advice even before our first session. In our first session she had our puppy under control in under five minutes! We included our entire family in all the sessions. We all listened to Sophie’s training advice and reasoning behind it. It was a very lovely experience and we are forever grateful to Sophie for helping us. 🐾🐾

Sophie is the best dog trainer I can imagine. She knows dogs—and their owners! she uses the time extremely well and covers all the bases in a full hour. her training manual with its tips on useful products is an invaluable asset. now it’s up to us to continue to practice her dog-sensitive (kind) approach to puppy training. I was a teacher for almost two decades and I recognize excellent teachers. Sophie could easily have her own podcast show. highly recommend!!

Sophie is fantastic! Before we adopted our puppy I'd inquired into Sophie's training services and she offered great advice on things to consider when meeting a puppy and bringing them home. In addition, Sophie is incredibly responsive. Within 2 days of brining our puppy home we'd scheduled a training session with Sophie at our house and it went incredibly well. Sophie spends as much time training the owners as she does the pups and explains what motivates puppies, what scares puppies, etc very well. Lastly, following our training session I had a couple follow-up questions that I emailed her and she responded within the hour and gave great, detailed advice. I highly recommend Sophie!
