I cannot recommend Northridge Canine enough! We rescued our staffy mix, Stanley when he was 7 months old. While he did great with basic obedience early on, a cross-country move and the isolation of covid in 2020-21 caused him to develop hightened reactivity as an adult dog. While we managed it, it was clear he was constantly stressed—and honestly, we were too. Doing 1:1 private training with Northridge Canine drastically improved our lives. Zoie's philosophy is that dogs and humans speak different languages, and she truly bridged that gap for us. She gave us the exact tools we needed to communicate with our dog, and taught him how to remain confident and stable even when he's in environments that used to trigger him. We didn't just get a trained dog; we built a partnership where both dog and handler can finally thrive. The stress in our home has decreased signifcantly, and our boy is so much happier. If you are struggling with a reactive dog, save yourself the stress and book a private session!
My dog came to me after extensive time abandoned on the street and he initially had trouble knowing he was safe with his humans. Our time with Northridge Canine Training allowed us to develop a trusting relationship. We can now easily walk and play around people and other dogs without being worried about negative interactions.
My dog was two years old when I adopted him and we weren’t sure about his history. Working with Northridge Canine Training was awesome because they gave me the confidence to correct my dog’s behavior in a positive way, especially when reacting to his identified triggers. We can now spend more time meeting new people and having adventures!
