Do you offer already trained Labrador Retrievers for sale?
In the market for a Trained Retriever? We occasionally offer labs for sale that have been through one of our gun dog training programs. Depending on their age and the level of training they have achieved, we will sell them as Started Pups or Started Dogs. No matter what level you choose, once you have hunted with a trained retriever, you'll never want to hunt with anything else!

Do you offer puppies that are bred for pointing?
Are you looking for a Labrador Retriever puppy bred for both drive and companionship? Interested in Pointing Labrador Puppies? We offer carefully selected breeding that will produce black, chocolate, and yellow Labrador pups. Some of our dogs are from pointing Labrador bloodlines and either point themselves or throw pointing lab pups.

We just purchased our 2nd puppy from Northern Plains. Duke is 9 yr. old. He has been an EXCELLENT dog both at home and in the field for ducks, pheasants, chucker's and quail. Has a great demeanor and continues to be in great shape. Scout is 10 weeks old and is showing signs of the same type of demeanor and the two are getting along just fine. We love the fact that the breeders due the training. The kennels and training areas are immaculate and you can tell Julie and Wade put there all into these dogs. With both there years of experience they are always available to answer any questions. They came highly recommended to us and we have passed that recommendation on to others that have purchased puppies and/or had them train there dogs. We are super happy!!
Wade took my dog in for the 1 month puppy program. Obtained a good foundation on obedience and a great start on field work.
We are very happy with our Pistol x Bailey pup. We have named her Blu and she is already a member of our family. We are excited for when she will be able to hunt with us in South Dakota. Thank you Julie & Wade!
We sent our English springer spaniel pup to Wade for the upland program and have been beyond impressed with the results. I was especially pleased with Wade’s willingness to explain the different aspects he used in training and he went above and beyond to explain the details to my wife and kids prior to bringing our pup home. I’ll definitely consider using Northern Plains for training future pups.
