No Xcuses K9, LLC - South Carolina

I hired a trainer with No Xcuses in January for one of my dog's leash reactivity and general poor communication between my dogs that would result in occasional scuffles. First week everything went fine. We introduced the e-collar to my leash reactive dog, Nala and my other pup Addie. I continued using the e-collar all that week and Nala really seemed to respond well to it. Next session comes it's clear the collar just confuses Addie. So we switch to my prong that I had also been using for her successfully. Addie pulls a little bit but nothing really noticeable. The prong was placed on her high and tight, whereas I had had it about midneck bc she just does not need as sharp a correction H&T gives. She put some tension on the leash and was slightly lifted off the ground, screamed and tried to bite the trainer, who told me that was her "throwing a tantrum over not being allowed to pull". Addie just kind of hung her head for the rest of the session and hid in a chair once inside. We took Nala out and the trainer essentially dropped her into a high distraction environment on the sidewalk with a bus going by, kids on bicycles, the trainers trailer with strange dogs, a whole lot that would tip her over the edge. She walked Nala around with the remote and Nala was reacting less and less until they finally came back to me with Nala just spaced out. Come to find out, her collar had been cranked up to 75/100, where her working level is typically a 6 or 7. Then she brought out some of her Board and Train dogs to see what Nala did and she was completely shut down, leaning against my leg shaking and eyes glazed over. So, obviously, she didn't even know those dogs existed. Trainer left for the day and both of them were stressed and hid all night. I've been reconditioning Addie to her prong since then, and we've made ok progress. She still gets a lil nervous tail wagging when she sees it, but eventually relaxes. But Nala, I can't do anything with her and that ecollar. I had it on her for a month without even turning it on/introducing stim just so she'd get used to it. I've been trying and trying, but every single time she feels any stim at all, she shuts down and won't do ANYTHING. She's deaf and NEEDS some kind of touch or feeling to get her attention, so any hopes I had of attempting off leash training are pretty shot. In the end tho I fixed the reactivity problems myself and wish I had done that from the beginning. Sorry for the novel. Only reason I'd give 1 star if I had a choice was bc they did refund me my remaining session
