Working with Helen from No Monkey Business has been a total game-changer for me and my 1-year-old reactive golden retriever, Charlie. I honestly wasn’t sure how effective Zoom training would be for a dog with big emotions, but Helen blew me away with her calm, clear, and science-based approach that worked beautifully—even virtually. From our first session, Helen helped me understand what was driving Charlie’s reactivity and gave me practical tools to set him up for success. She never rushed the process and always celebrated the small wins, which gave me confidence and helped Charlie make steady, positive progress. One of the biggest changes I’ve seen is that Charlie no longer explodes as quickly or as intensely when we see another dog or person on a walk. Even more amazing—he’s now able to calm himself down and “shake it off” so much faster. That kind of emotional recovery used to take forever, and now it's happening in real time. Helen is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. She made me feel supported and empowered every step of the way. It’s clear she truly understands reactive dogs—and their people—and cares deeply about helping both thrive. If you're feeling overwhelmed by reactivity and wondering if Zoom can really work, trust me: it can, especially with someone like Helen guiding you. I can’t recommend No Monkey Business enough.

I was very impressed by all the staff my family and I have met. My grand puppy has been receiving training for some time. This was my first experience with the staff. They went out of the way to make me feel comfortable and were very accommodating. They have also made great strides with training our grand puppy.

5+ ☆☆☆☆☆ I have a mixed breed, half Pitbull and Shar Pei, that I rescued as a puppy. She "Lilly" had endured some trauma early on and also associated kennels with that trauma. She would break her teeth trying to escape from kennels. She doesn't get along with other dogs. It made it difficult to ever travel. We tried other facilities and Lilly had to be removed within an hour. We reached out to Helen, who has a designated space just for dogs like Lilly. We tried it for a day at first, and because it went so well, we then tried an overnight. I was pleasantly surprised to hear how well she did there. Helen provides the dogs a space that is "homey". Lilly was so at ease, relaxed and enjoyed playing with Jake! We had to leave due to a family emergency and when we returned, Lilly was SO content at Helen's that she didn't want to leave! LOL That comforted us knowing how well she was cared for and could feel safe and at peace. I would HIGHLY recommend Helen's facilities for anyone that has a dog with extreme anxiety issues, she works with you and the dog for the best interest. Thank You Helen and Jake for all you have done for Lilly and us!
