I’m so grateful I found the Nitro K9 team. I came in unsure what was realistic for my adult Havanese Cosmo and hoping to train him as a psychiatric service animal. Cosmo’s progress has been incredible! Steve and the team are patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested. They take your dog’s personality into account and move at a pace that works for both of you. Steve is generous with his time and expertise and even offered thoughtful guidance around health and nutrition. I also appreciate that the training isn’t treat-based. The work we’ve done has truly deepened my relationship with Cosmo and I can’t recommend Nitro K9 enough.

Nitro K-9 is worth it! We brought our 2 dogs here that both had behavioral problems including leash reactivity, barking at everyone and thing, and our youngest we couldn't even have people over because he would bark and lunge. Walks were a nightmare. We attempted training at other places where the only used treats and ended up with treat dependant dogs with behavioral issues. After searching we found Nitro K-9 and our lives have changed. Steve and North have been amazing to work with and they helped us understand our dogs better and why we were seeing the behaviors. Now we have two calm dogs, we get comments on walks all the time how well behaved they are! Our dogs are healthier and we can now socialize again at our house. It wasn't easy, you have to put the work in with your dog. Bringing our dogs to Nitro K-9 was the best decision. On day one of working with Steve, I got immediate improvements and a plan in place for helping my Aussie, Darrow, to get over his reactivity that developed from being attacked, that has been persistent for well over a year. I'm glad I decided to make the trip from Kent, since walks have become enjoyable for us again, and our bond has improved significantly. We found Steve at Nitro K-9 about 9 years ago when I was having troubles with my first dog. I was scared she had aggression issues and I would need to re-home her. After our assessment Steve was confident I had a dog with extremely high prey drive and aggression was not her issue. We completed level one training and are happy to say 8 years later she is still with us. This week we just completed level one training with our new puppy and could not be more excited for the future. Steve and his team are very attentive and understand what each dog needs. They can help you learn how to train your dog.
