Nikao Working K9s- Dog Boarding and Training in East Texas

I cannot say enough good things about this training facility! Sydney and Julie are so awesome! We've had our dog out there 3 times and he knows he's seeing friends! 2 times were for boarding and the 3rd was for a 3 week boarding and training! He is doing so great! They kept us updated with texts and videos! They love the dogs they're training! My husband and I recommend Nikao Working K9s 100%! You'll be glad you did!

We bought our puppy-Gatlin- from Nikao working dogs and then sent him back for obedience training. Let me say, this family loves these dogs like their own and our puppy was treated with tons of attention! They also did an excellent job at implementing specific goals for our baby that we asked for. He came back home to us after a 3 week training session more focused and ready to work for us. Lastly, they gave us the knowledge to continue his training. We are over the moon happy with our choice in Dog breeder and the training they provide! We will continue more training with this awesome breeder in the future.

We couldn't be happier with the progress our K9 has made. Brad was extremely helpful and was great to talk to and learn from. Sydney did amazing training our K9. Julie is so sweet, everyone was welcoming and kind and so helpful. Our company will continue to board and train our working dogs with them, we have had some rough experiences in the past and I would recommend Nikao over anyone we have ever worked with. They are Good honest people with a passion for their work, and they won't break the bank to do it.

We took our dog, Daphne (Golden Retriever, 1yo) for some training. She is being trained as a therapy service dog and has already had a decent amount of training before we reached out to Sydney for some boarding/training to help with advancing her skills. Sydney was very quick to respond to inquiries and detailed about making a plan for training goals. Dropping off Daphne was very easy and comfortable. We had daily updates for her training and how she was doing for her boarding. After her 2 weeks of boarding/training she was doing very well with the training goals we had set. We were mostly focused on heel to prep for off-leash walking, reinforce her commands she is familiar with, ignore distractions, and to learn how to “back-up”. We continued with training 1-2 times a week after her boarding. We were able to add more commands and to re-enforce her learned commands. Sydney was always really great with working with our dog and was very helpful with including us on how to continue training at home. I cannot express how happy we are for Daphne to have training with Sydney at Nikao Working K9 and recommend them with the highest confidence\. From beginning to end they were professional and easy to work with. It was easy to trust them to care for our dog, and to assist with training for new tasks/commands. She made huge advancements during her boarding/training, and her follow up training sessions were very helpful.

My high drive field golden, Jazz needed some help with distractions; I had no idea how to work/train this issue. I learned of Nikao Working K9s through word of mouth. Sydney was awesome. She helped Jazz and I improve our relationship and learn some new skills that work for better Jazz. Jazz’s self control with distraction is growing every day, and our training is much more fun. So thankful for Sydney’s help and support.
