Next Door K9 School for Dog Trainers

This is my 3rd experience utilizing board and train services for my favorite breed of choice, Dobermans. The last company I used no longer trains personal dogs so I had to start from scratch. After extensive searching and questioning, I felt Nextdoor K9 in Sanford was the right fit. Samantha and her team were amazing. Literally transformative for my 6 month old Doberman puppy Kobe. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to take their pup/dog for obedience training. They provided pic/video updates 3x a week demonstrating progress and overall care of our family member. They have a large indoor training facility as well as an equally large outdoor fenced yard area for runs/training/etc. They offer nail trims and a doggie bath (additional cost) in the event you want your pup/dog to come home fresh and clean. Ive never had this option at other training facilities. Asking the right questions and getting positive/correct answers prior to dropping off your pup/dog is what really sealed the deal for me. Samatha was extremely knowledgeable in dog training techniques as well as describing how she would implement them. Furthermore, she explained and demonstrated upon pickup how to successfully make the training stick to not only myself but to my young daughter as well. Kobe came home with the gained structure and foundation needed for a working breed. Samantha and her team were able to direct Kobes attention and get him to look towards his handler for guidance and direction. Also working with him to gain confidence and overcome some of his puppy fears. I cant recommend Next Door K9 in Sanford enough!

I am absolutely thankful for the training they provided for my Kazooie boo. I did the four week board and train which was recommended; and much needed I'd say. My trainer Angelique was awesome from the initial meet and greet all the way to the 2hr session/goodbye. She was very thorough, very passionate and takes her job very seriously. She was very detailed oriented in the session before I took Kazooie home and it was enlightening as an owner about my faults and the things I needed to see I was doing wrong. Turns out I need to train as well 🙃 I appreciated Angeliques up front personality and with the training there is no bsing allowed; we are doing something and its not completed until we end on a good/positive note. Failure isnt an option , always follow through and do the work. This was a great thing we did for not only Kazooie but as her owner I feel far more competent with continuing her training.
