My husband was almost ready to give up on our Fox Red Lab Duke and wanted to have me get rid of him. I Googled dog trainers in my area and I selected New Beginnings. Duke's problems were pulling when walking, jumping and he is the happ, happ, happiest dogs I have had. His happiness made him eager to just be crazy. Kristi at New Beginnings handled his enthusiasm with a stern, firm but caring hand. She identified the issues and changed Duke into an enthusiastic , happy, listening dog. My husband now relaxes with Duke on the sofa and they cuddle and fall asleep. Kristi is an excellent trainer and I would and will advice people to use her for any dog behavior that needs to be fixed. We have a new dog now!!

We took our mixed breed pup, Junie, to New Beginnings for puppy training. Kristi was terrific to work with, and Junie learned so much in just a few training sessions. Equally as important, Kristi was incredibly helpful with regard to teaching US how to reinforce the training with Junie - including effective strategies and approaches to utilize as well as key words/commands. Kristi is kind, patient, and clearly an expert in her field. We would definitely recommend Kristi and New Beginnings, and continue to benefit from all that we (both pup and humans) learned through our sessions with Kristi several months ago. Highly recommend New Beginnings Dog Training. While at first glance looking at prices, she may seem a bit on the higher side however WORTH every penny! Kristi will work with your dog first and then work with you to ensure you have the knowledge to be successful. She is patient, knowledgeable, and her methods work. It is not just an hour class and you’re on your way. You practice with her (I essentially got trained to) which is what needs to happen in order for my dog to be successful. I asked many questions and Kristi was thorough and attentive. I feel more confident in my abilities to instill discipline and set boundaries for my dog yet still provide a loving home and have fun with him. I used her for the basic and eCollar training. Would definitely use again! Smokie and I thank you! We will be going backpacking and to the beach with confidence this year!
