Naughty Paws Dog Training

I attended Novice Obedience with my 2-yr old rescued German Shepherd. This was one of the best classes I have attended. We began class with my dog being very nervous and she was noticeably improved when we were done. We do still have a ways to go. I liked (1)the limited class size, 7-8 dogs; (2)disruptive dogs were taken out of the arena and brought back in so that they learned proper class etiquette; (3)we learned one command each week and built on that; (4)reminders that we shouldn't expect perfection from our dogs - they all progress at a different rate; (5) I appreciated the "homework assignments" - they kept me honest :-)

Sebastian has been absolutely incredible to work with. We have 2 male boxers, and when our younger one was around 10 months old they got into their first altercation with each other. I thought we would need to find a new home for our younger dog, but after a virtual training session with Sebastian, I was confident that there were many things we could do before that step. He helped us realize what triggers or environmental things we could eliminate, but also helped us create more structure and stability for them. Now, almost a year after the first fight I can confidentially say that our dogs have been reintegrated into life together in our house without issues. I’m still amazed that I’ve never met Sebastian in person, and he was able to give us such help and support via virtual consultations. It’s worth every penny, and while it requires you to do the work on your own, it’s possible to make the changes and continue to get directions and support from the team. I never thought I’d have to deal with something like this, but I can confidently say that I’ve learned more about how to own and manage dogs in a safe and secure environment. I wish my dogs would have never had an altercation, but I can confidentially say this experience improved my dogs lives overall and I’m forever grateful to Sebastian. He gave me the tools to feel confident and in charge. There’s no greater feeling as a dog owner.
