My Sidekick is amazing! Ash taught us how to work with our dog to reinforce good behaviors using positive reinforcement. They are so knowledgeable, patient, nonjudgmental, empowering, and a pleasure to work with. Honestly they really trained us. We learned so much and felt so empowered after each season. Our dog is a different dog. She is happy, confident, less afraid of people and we are more knowledgeable as to what she needs to remain that way!

Ash has been incredibly helpful with training our anxious dog. She's also been incredibly helpful with both of our foster dogs. She's thought us how to train our dog, and manage our challenging foster dogs (that now have all been adopted out to great homes). I only truly discovered the absolute effectiveness of positive reinforcement training, until working with My Sidekick Dog Training. Ash is kind, patient, and they are extremely well informed and experienced. Their specialization in fear and aggression is practiced with, and I cannot stress this enough, the prioritized SAFETY AND WELFARE of your dog. The dog trainer to end all dog trainers, may their methods be implemented everywhere. Love to all the dogs.

Our sweet girl Clementine had always struggled with a fear towards children - when we found out we were having a child, we called Ash right away. Through their support, we learned all about the ins and outs of consent-based training and various ways to keep Clem engaged while learning to feel confident in herself as she leans into her new environment.
Baby is now 6 months old and Clem has blown us away with how wonderful, gentle, and sweet she is with him. Our bond with Clementine is stronger than ever and she is thriving as the our family rock! We are teaching our child to respect her space, and the two have been coexisting so sweetly as a result.

Ash was super knowledgeable and taught us how to better understand our dog's body language/behavior (as well as other dogs). She provided us with great resources and tips on how to work with our dog in the yard and on walks. Ash was professional and always willing to answer our many questions. Definitely would recommend!
