My EPIC Dog - Human and Dog Training

We have been working with Judith for several months, and we are BEYOND pleased with the results of our work together. Stevie was given to me to be an emotional support animal, but it ended up that she needed a lot of emotional support herself. We were recommended Judith’s expertise by a family member, and we are so grateful to have spent the last few months working together! I can confidently say that our work with Judith has not only drastically improved Stevie’s behavior, confidence, and social skills, but it has also helped me to better understand responsible pet ownership, what it means to lead your dog, and has also helped me in processing and healing from traumatic experiences I have had witnessing animal abuse in the past. While challenging at first, because consistency truly is key, it has been so rewarding to see Stevie grow and evolve as she and I have both stepped out of our comfort zones with the help of Judith’s encouragement, guidance, abundant patience, and wealth of knowledge. Judith provides excellent and thorough explanations and direction as you and your pet go through your trainings, and I have always felt well equipped when working on our training skills after our sessions. Everyone that has known Stevie since she came home has been so amazed by her progress, and we truly have Judith to thank for that! We sought Judith’s help for our dog Aubrey, a rescue. Before working with Judith, Aubrey struggled with focus, self control, self confidence and respect. She would bark and growl at visitors and sometimes pee in fear. She was sensitive to sounds and anxious when hearing them. When we took her on walks, she would pull on the leash and react with other dogs and people. With how anxious she was, she would barely rest or sleep. We worried about her and it was affecting us too. We were stressed and overwhelmed because we didn’t know how to help or train her. After doing an 8 lesson program with Judith, Aubrey listens and is more focused. She seeks our guidance and direction. She is more relaxed and can sleep more. She calms down quicker with strangers and doesn’t pee when they come over. When walking, she walks with us vs. pulling. Judith was patient, organized and thorough, not just in training Aubrey but training us as the owners. During the program, Judith was always available for questions and additional help by phone if we ever had trouble outside the lessons. Judith also has provided us tutorial videos and notes that we can use for future reference. We highly recommend Judith for training your dog.

I just finished a walk with my two huskies, who combined weigh more than me. And what a stark difference this walk was before and after working with Judith in the past year! No further pulling, no shriek yapping/howling, no veering towards to passing people/dogs on the river trails. Our huskies used to be easily distracted, reactive, and prone to pulling hard on the leash. It made walking them extremely challenging, especially with arthritic hands. We knew we needed help after we felt unsafe taking them on steep mountainous terrain for hiking, and found Judith last fall through an online search. Through the past year, she has helped us improve our relationship with our dogs to a point where walk are enjoyable and no longer dreaded. Judith creates individualized lesson plans, and demonstrated thoughtfulness and keen insight into trouble shooting some issues we were having with communicating with our dogs in obedience training. Overall, would highly recommend Judith. Walks and taking our dogs out into public places are enjoyable activities again. Judith has been the best investment we’ve made for our pups.

I’ve owned large-breed dogs for years, including German Shepherds, Pitbulls, and mixes, and I’ve always felt confident in my ability to train them. I’ve read countless books and watched tons of videos, but when we got Daisy—our German Shepherd, Pitbull, and Staffordshire mix—I realized she was more than I could handle.
