My BodyGuard German Shepherds

We visited MBG when we were looking for a GSD and it was clear they have an outstanding breeding program. We got our puppy Max and my daughter fell in love with a female that she named Hermione. Two MBG pups in the family! And all of the MBG puppies and adults we saw were all fantastic — smart, gorgeous dogs with great temperaments. We met Lasko, Max’s dad, and just thought he was incredible. But where MBG also really excels is their training. They do not send you home with a GSD pup and say have fun. They are there to support you are all stages of training, from a very high standard house dog obedience to more advanced working dog training. We did Puppy 1 group training there and it was great! As Max approached 18 months old we started private lessons with Jordan. Jordan is amazing. Jordan is super fun to work with and has really helped us get our active (and sometimes reactive) boy to start acting like a gentleman. We look forward to every training session. Here is the proof of our commitment to MBG dogs and training. We live just north of Madison, WI. Every time we come down for training it is a 3 hour round trip. But it is definitely worth it! We have been working with Eric at My Bodyguard Dogs since January of 2026 doing 1 hour personalized training sessions. From the minute we had our consultation with him we knew we made the right choice for our 3 year old bloodhound who was demonstrating resource guarding, reactivity and overall bad manners and stubbornness! Eric has helped us see situations through another lens and given us the information and tools to keep moving forward in establishing a better relationship and boundaries with our dog. I can honestly say his training sessions are just as much for the humans as they are for the dog! His balance of kindness, humor, honesty, years of experience and training and pure passion for what he does is evident in every session. We look forward to continuing to train with Eric as it has changed our situation for the better!

Words cant explain how grateful I am for Jordan and the team at My Bodyguard Dogs! We adopted a German Shephard puppy from out of state and our little guy had a lot of unresolved issues and insecurities. It was overwhelming and unmanageable until we met Jordan. Our journey took several months and included a mix of mostly day trains with some 1:1 sessions with Jordan as well. Our dog came into the program very shy and uncertain and it took him weeks to even start taking treats but by the end, he was like a completely different dog. He was confident, engaged, and downright silly. Jordan taught him how to do basic commands (sit, down, place, etc) but built on that by working on his leash skills, recall skills, and his reactivity to other dogs. Jordan's energy and the amount of attention and love that he has for the dogs that he works with is inspiring and nothing short of amazing. Jordan is also an excellent teacher during the 1:1 sessions; he gives clear instructions and suggestions and never makes you feel embarrassed or overwhelmed. On top of the obedience training, Jordan gave our dog the structure, safety, and love that he needed to thrive. I truly don't know what we would have done without him. Also have to give a huge shoutout to Tallia, Eric, Crystal, Ashley, and Julie who all play a big role in making My Bodyguard Dogs such a success! You guys are all amazing!!
