My BodyGuard German Shepherds

Oh where to even begin… When we were looking for a new German Shepherd puppy, we contacted many breeders. But when we heard back from Julie, met the intended parents, and saw the beautiful facility — it just felt right. And since that visit in March of 2024, our experiences have been nothing short of amazing. We knew what we were getting into with a German Shepherd puppy, but when we were having trouble getting him to settle in his crate and going back to work was coming soon, we sent Julie a message and she immediately had Mckenzy call us. We signed Echo up for a 10 day day-train and he learned so much. We’ve since completed 3 group classes, are in our 4th and still regularly bring Echo for day training. He loves the facility and the staff, and I swear that he knows the second that we turn into Blissdale that we’re almost there! We might have picked the most stubborn one of the bunch, but Mckenzy and Eric have put so much work into training him during day train and class (and giving us the tools to keep improving at home)! We are so incredibly grateful to My BodyGuard Dogs and would absolutely recommend them for every service they offer! It truly is like joining a little family when you purchase a dog or train with them.

My 3 year old GSD was very reactive could not be around other dogs she would bark, show her teeth and go into attack mode. We tried Topps in grayslake did nothing for Henry. Very abusive training. We tried training classes nothing changed. A friend recommend My Guard Dogs so we called and went in for an interview. WOW I was impressed. So we arranged to board Henry for a couple of weeks and have Carlos train her. WOW UNBELIEVABLE with in the first week Henry was walking with Carlos in a room with dogs laying and one even walking towards her. Not one reaction !!! Before Henry would not eat out of a bowl, her eating habits were all over the place she may not eat for a couple of days and she rarely ate her kibble. Now she eats kibble twice a day out of a bowl The change in Henry’s behavior is so positive and so powerful he sent us home after 2 hours of instruction and he trained us how to continue with her fabulous training. I can’t say enough about this place as a whole to every one that helped train Henry but the greatest thank you go to Carlos. He will forever be in our hearts and prayers for all he did for our Henry. Henry is so much more confident in her self. Thank you !l!!!!!!
