I first contacted Laura and her team when my dog, Teddy, was at 6 months old to just have general feel of how the training would go and she was amazing at answering all questions and concerns that I've had when it came to hiring a dog trainer. She was so genuine, answered all questions, and gave me time to think about it. Without hesitation I hired Laura and her team of fantastic trainers and it was worth e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. My relationship with my dog Teddy is even stronger than before. Laura and her team created a line of communication for me and Teddy which has opened doors for us when it comes to walks, play time and being around other dogs. I cannot recommend them enough and the fantastic job they've done with Teddy. The communication, professionalism and the love that this crew has for dogs is top tier.

We were at our wits’ end with our rescued 9-month-old puppy, Camden. If you’re reading this, you’re probably feeling the same way with your own dog. Camden was nipping so hard that she was ripping our clothes, and she became such a handful that we couldn’t leave her with anyone. She also wouldn’t stop chasing our cat and just didn’t listen, no matter what we tried—treats, timeouts, you name it. She’s a smart, strong-willed dog, so other training methods just weren’t working. Then we found Laura and Monument City Dog Training. To say this changed our lives would be an understatement. Camden came back from training so much more polite, with clear boundaries. We can play fetch without worrying that she’ll rip the toys from our hands, and she greets us calmly, no more nipping. The best part is Camden and our cat are finally becoming friends (something I never even thought was a possibility)! Laura is incredibly knowledgeable and realistic in her approach, and the support doesn’t stop after the training. It feels like we’ve become part of a community. If you’re struggling with your dog, I can’t recommend Laura and her team enough. Forget everything you think you know about Board & Train programs because this one is above and beyond. She has helped make both Camden and our lives better. Camden gets to enjoy more now that she is better behaved!

I can't say enough great things about Monument City Dog Board and Train. I adopted a 5 year old Boston Terrier/Pit Mix from BARC in February 2024. Junie was previously a stray and needed a lot of help with reactivity and basic obedience training. I contacted Laura and she was extremely responsive and helpful. It was decided that Junie needed their 4 week training session. Junie was not the most easiest dogto train but with a lot of patient and hard work, Laura and Caitlin got Junie right where she needed to be. Laura and Caitlin are beyond helpful, caring and go over the top to help ensure that Junie and a smooth transition back home. Junie is the same gog but more refined. I now enjoy our walks, due to their training and expertise. I have also used them for boarding when I need to go out of town. The flexibility and willingness to help, are unmatched. I cannot say enygrear things about them. I will be using them again to help train my 7 year old Boston Terrier. If you're in need of a caring, professional, and loving team to work with your dog(s), look no further. The expense and experience is well worth it.
